Selected as the pilot community for the companies implementation of SAP enterprise wide software solution (first in the homebuilding business). 1994-1997 Construction Process Redesign Team Captain, K. Hovnanian Homes Selected to lead the Construction Process Redesign Team as part of a major corporate reengineering effort. The team was responsible for the analysis of current and redesign of new business processes & systems. Converted old school lump sum bid process to a unitary price contract methodology for all labor and material vendors. Established a Centralized Purchasing/Budget Set-Up department for the Northeast region. Organized the initial set-up of this department and wrote the P&P. Designed a new propriety software system (UPQ) to manage the new unit price construction cost database. Trained the initial members of the Central Purchasing/Budget Set-Up department on the new UPQ system.
1986-1994 Project Director, K. Hovnanian Homes Oversaw all construction activities on multiple projects (both building and land development activities). Performed site feasibility analysis, planning & approvals, design development, estimating, budgeting, bidding, contracting, job costing and payment. Successfully completed the delivery of nearly 2000 homes over a six-year period, with peak year of 682 deliveries from one community.
