DESIGN MANAGER III Parsons, Inc, San Diego, CA Executed and coordinated the writing and editing of Request for Proposals for NAVFAC, the Navy Engineering Command. Projects in excess of $100 million.
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR Moon Mayoras, Architects, San Diego, CA Managed construction for a major renovation and new hospital wing at Eisenhower Medical Center. Value of project over $90 million.
PROJECT MANAGER Swinerton Management and Consulting San Diego, CA Administration of field office and project construction manager for complete remodel and modernization of Mar Vista School. Value of project was $3.3 million. Construction accomplished in fast track sprint over the summer recess months and completed in 65 days on schedule and on budget.
DESIGN BUILD MANAGER AND ADMINISTRATOR Turnkey, Inc. San Diego, CA Responsible for design and construction of new school projects in Southern California, with value over $45 million and utilizing fast track project development and construction of modular unit construction in our own manufacturing facility.
MANAGER OF DEVELOPMENT Chancellor Homes, Sacramento CA Office manager for Northern California for Hong Kong based international development firm. Project/Development Manager for new $40 million residential project in Sacramento region. Representative duties: Government liaison and approvals, contract negotiations, directing design coordination during development, construction bidding/management.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER S.D. Malkin Properties, Inc. San Diego, CA Administration and construction management for a mixed use Hotel/Commercial Project. The 4 Star Hotel consisted of 253 guestrooms, including meeting facilities, restaurant, pool/exercise facilities, retail facilities, offices and a public park. Project cost over $40 million.
OFFICE MANAGER AND ADMINISTRATOR CTE Nevada, Inc., Reno. Nevada (Construction Testing). Directed the satellite office and marketing for the company. Contracted new clients as well as project development, project procedures, scheduling and field quality control. Representative project $30 million addition and expansion for Veterans Administration Hospital, Reno
PROJECT MANAGER Kitchell CEM, Sacramento, CA Architect/Project Manager. Program/project manager for new 2.1 million sq. ft. California State Prison with a budget of $210 million. Directed and coordinated consultant team of 14 architectural, engineering and specialized design firms. Project bid with 12 different bid packages and was successfully brought in at $10 million under budget. Development of production drawings for 25 prototype buildings currently used for all new California prisons, yielding savings of $20 million per prison.
DESIGN DEPT. ADMINISTRATOR Southbay Construction & Development, Inc., Campbell. CA Managed design staff of 10, producing projects with an annual worth of $45 million. Representative projects: Advanced Micro Devices, 245,000; Specialized Bike, Corp. HQ, 255,300 s.f. Lawrence Business Park office complex, 250,000 s.f. and Meridian Business Park office complex.
ARCHITECT/ADMINISTRATOR March Development Company. Los Gatos, CA Architect/Project Manager for development including design, production, CM and QC for all projects. Projects included medical office building, two neighborhood shopping centers, several hi-tech manufacturing buildings, Pizza-Time Theatre Restaurants and bank branch facilities.
VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR OF DESIGN Vanderson Construction, San Jose, CA Design control and supervision of staff of 12 in addition to consultants and subcontractors, producing projects with annual worth of $65 million. Construction Management and Project Quality Control. Representative projects include hi-tech R&D, office and production facilities for IBM, Apple Computer, Atari, Lockheed, Signetics, Fairchild, Olympus and ROLM.
ARCHITECT & DESIGN DEPARTMENT MANAGER United Construction Reno, Nevada Responsible for client/contract negotiations, project design, budgeting, scheduling, and construction document production including consultant coordination. Annual volume over $35 million. Representative projects completed: HQ's for Ebara International; West Coast HQ's/distribution centers for Lawson Products, Spiegel, Inc., BHP Minerals, Sherwin Williams, Michelin, Harley Davidson of Reno, Fortifiber, Inc. All facilities for Dermody Properties, Inc., over 2 million s.f. of warehouse/distribution and manufacturing facilities.
ARCHITECT/FIELD ADMINISTRATOR Callister, Payne & Bischoff, Architects & Planners, Tiburon, CA Project design and management of field office for a residential design firm. Projects included Toyon Farms, Los Altos, CA., 17 acre planned unit development, $1.5 million, Tinsley Village at Peachtree City, GA., A 40 acre, 188 unit $5 million residential community, and Fairington, Georgia. A 70 acre 710+ unit residential community, Georgia.
