Having grown up on a 1200 acre farm and ranch in Southern Colorado I have been around equipment my entire life whether it was fixing what I broke or spending time operating it I have always had a fascination with large equipment. When I got out of college I figured I would farm for the rest of my life but being the youngest of three boys it was tough to make a living on the family farm so my dad made the suggestion that one of us may have to go to town and find a job I was elected to do so and that is how my sales career began and from that moment I have been in love with equipment sales ever since whether it is helping a customer figuring out how he is going to get a job done to helping the small contractor buy his first piece or in the pressure cooker of bidding numerous pieces to a large corporate customer and handling the deal from start to finish that is what I was meant to do and enjoy every minute of it. Managed all parts and whole goods sales in a seven county territory in Central Arkansas calling on large corporate customers such as Martin Marietta, Reynolds Alcoa, Head Waters Resources along with small to mid size dirt contractors, quarry operations, factories, county and municipal business, farms and logging operations. Managed credit, collections, transportation, finance and parts sales in the territory while maintaining a 38% market share on new equipment sales and the sales of used and rental roll out inventory for the company
Power Motive Corp. 2/2005 to 5/2008 Southwest Colorado Regional Manager
Managed all aspects of the business in a 15 county territory in South Western Colorado Took and grew an underperforming territory with a market share of 2.8% and $250,000 in sales in 2004 into a territory with a market share of 10% and over 4.2 million dollars in sales in 2008. All was accomplished with no branch in the territory, product support or resident field service. Closest branch location was over 200 miles away. Customer base was very diverse calling on some of the larges civil and heavy highway construction companies in the country including Skanska Inc, Old Castle, Weemanuche Construction, and large coal and aggregate operations in Western Colorado.
