PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Summit Builders- Project Executive (2000-2009) Ranked within the top 25 construction companies in Arizona. Also, ranked within the top 250 General Contractors in the United States with a market share of over $300 million annually.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS Direct over-site of projects ranging from $5 million - $76 million dollars Preconstruction, Estimating, contract negotiations, Managed 5 project managers with respective support teams consisting of Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, Project Accountants, Superintendents and misc. support staff. Project over-site: project prequalification, preconstruction transitioning to operations, project scheduling, budget, conflict resolution, risk management, risk assessment, change order maintenance, subcontractor prequalification, subcontract preparation/review, subcontractor insurance review and acceptance, subcontractor buyout, lead item procurement, safety, SWPPPs, AIA billing, owner payment accountability, closeout and warranty. Worked collectively with Executive team members on fiscal and strategic planning. Successfully negotiated and built over 30 Lowes Home Improvement Centers in Arizona opening the opportunity to also negotiate and build stores for Lowes in Nevada, Colorado and California. All of the stores were built ahead of schedule and budget. Lowes corporate tracked our stores over a 5 year time period to determine Summit had the lowest cost nation wide for post completion maintenance. Built the most profitable Walmart Supercenter in the U.S., Nogales AZ. The site was 80 acres of stone. Our team drilled, blasted and relocated 1 + million cubic yards of rock in 28 days, working around the clock. The store was completed start to close out in 7 months. Our teams took on 3 Superbowl hotel projects. All three projects, the Marriot Courtyard, the Hampton Inn and the Hilton Garden Inn broke ground in January of 2007 with a scheduled completion date of November 30, 2007. All three hotels were completed on time and open for Superbowl reservations. Incorporated several in-house profit centers including printing, rental equipment and purchasing. Along with my management role of over all responsibility of construction completion of the $76 million W-Resort I provided complete FF&E and OSE over-site of scheduling, purchasing, coordination, staging and damage control. In the past 10 years I have profitably overseen and completed over 30 projects on time and budget. These projects accounted for over $ 252.5 million dollars in vertical construction with an additional $ 52 million dollars in associated infrastructure and site work. One of the more gratifying achievements was participating in all of the Summit Builders Charity fundraisers. These events included the Summit Golf Tournament, Day at the Races, Casino Night and several smaller events. I collectively raised over $1.5 million dollars through my subcontractors and suppliers.
