My education and background started in the field of architectural/structural engineering and proceeded into commercial building construction as a project manager.

I am a self motivated and detail oriented individual. Engineering skills include experience in most aspects of commercial building design, from primary superstructure to exterior cladding/curtainwall systems and building remodeling. My general design background is founded in my interest in architectural design and has been used in my construction project management position implementing design/build projects. This has included site planning, architectural programming and design, structural design as well as interior design.

As a project manager I have also developed skills relating to all phases of a construction project. These include client development and negotiation; negotiating and writing contracts; project programming and design; budget and final cost estimating; value engineering; project scheduling; negotiating and contracting with sub-contractors and vendors; overseeing and scheduling work crews and field superintendents; processing construction phase work orders, change requests, and other documents; field supervision and progress meetings/reports; project follow-up and close out procedures.

I feel that my experience and skills are very well suited to construction project management or pre-construction services. My design and management inclinations would be well utilized as a facilities planner or owners building representative to oversee an organizations physical plant needs. I am also well versed in structural engineering through my 22+ years of structural design and construction and would be an asset to an AE firms structural or construction administration team.

Beyond my existing educational training and experience my interests lie in several associated creative fields including architecture, graphic design and marketing. I feel that my ability to take a challenging task or agenda and create a plan and implementation strategy within the framework of a team and set of constraints allow my future goals and career objectives to very wide ranging.
