1989 - Present: As the owner of Caley+Company Architects and the senior partner at Caley+Louis Architects, have had responsibility for marketing, client contact, project planning, site design, client presentations, construction documents, interactions with consultant engineers, governmental authorities, manufacturers representatives, and construction contractors. The firms have designed churches, restaurants, office buildings, schools, warehouses, group homes, governmental buildings, park facilities, interior build-outs and private residences.
1988 - 1989: As project architect at Schneider Design, was responsible the architectural design and design team coordination. In addition, the position included marketing, communicating with governmental officials, and construction contractors.
1985 - 1988: As V.P. for Design with Cosentino Companies, a western N.Y. real estate development company, was responsible for preliminary planning, site approvals, project design and design team coordination. In addition, the position included marketing, communicating with tenants, governmental officials, consultants and construction contractors. 1982 - 1985: As construction manager with Siegfried Construction, a western N.Y. general contractor was responsible for cost estimating, bidding, site approvals, site inspections and project team coordination. In addition, the position included communicating with governmental officials, consultants and subcontractors contractors.
1979 - 1982: As construction manager with Cannon Design, an A/E firm was responsible for preliminary planning, project budgets, scheduling, site inspections and design team coordination. In addition, the position included marketing, communicating with clients, governmental officials, and construction contractors.
Accomplishments:
Successfully completed over 30 food service facilities and 300,000 S.F. of office/warehouse space.
Developed 80,000 S.F. of banking facilities and 500 hotel rooms in two hotels. The larger hotel was a $17,000,000 renovation project.
Designed 10 religious facilities, 12 retail facilities, 7 medical related facilities and 15 office buildings. In addition, I renovated over 20 K-12 schools and three historic buildings.
Successfully completed public sector projects for the State of New York, the County of Erie, the City of Buffalo, the City of Jamestown, and the Towns of Colden, and Wales. The largest was $15,000,000.
Activities: Instructor at UB School of Architecture and Environmental Design, City of Buffalo Preservation Board member, President Landmark Society of the Niagara Frontier.
