Buyout, Overhead and Budget Control -Because of educated buyouts, quality and project
controls, superior performance and product was achieved. Introduced systems for material
and labor controls and ensured their effective implementation. Resulted in consistent cost
savings in overhead and project budget.
Supervision - Assumed control of various construction operations and projects that were over
budget and behind schedule. Implemented changes resulting in projects being put back on
schedule and within budget through elimination of extras through contract enforcement, and
reorganization of project schedule and staffing. Extensive experience managing multiple
projects and staff.
Administrative - Responsible for managing and staffing regional construction offices, preconstruction
activities, site assessments, estimating, setting up project budgets and project
buyout. Project and office staffing and supervision. Preparation of monthly project draw

monthly budget and variance reports. Prepared and issued all vendor and subcontractor
contracts and change orders.

Primavira and Surtrak scheduling software. I am familiar with Timberline, JD Edwards and
Greatplains accounting software and ProLog.

Commercial - Supervised building of over 60,000 sf. of office and retail space and tenant
improvements. Participated in construction of another 200,000 sf. of retail, warehouse and
office space.
Multi-family - Constructed over 9,500 apartment units in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina,
South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and
California.
Single family - Directly supervised the construction of moderate to custom single family
homes and town homes. Participated in the building of over 1,000 other single family/
townhomes
Renovation - Experienced in home improvement and historical remodeling. Was active in
ownership of small remodeling company.
Land Development - Successfully completed over 40 land development projects covering
over 700 acres, including installation of lakes, sanitary, storm, water systems, public and
private. Coordinated the installation of the underground power, gas, telephone and cable TV
systems. Have installed over 100 miles of paved roadways, public and private.
Military Housing PPV- In charge of projects in South Carolina and North Carolina for
major owner developer in the privatized area of military housing. Scope of work included
demolition, renovations, new housing and community centers.

Provided planning that included developer interaction, client relations, initial estimates, project
feasibility, overall project schedule, identified areas of potential problems and provided solutions.
Coordinated preconstruction planning with consultants, principles and local governing authority.
Assisted in new product development from design through production.
