Professional Experience and Company Contributions:
Freescale, Phoenix, AZ + Divisional NPI Management, Quality, Operations + 2006 to Present
Advantage: I assumed several roles within the company including divisional management of NPI products and quality management. During this period moved a quality team from low performance to top team in the division in terms of metrics and milestone accomplishments. In addition provided leadership with customer product crisis, new technology launches, reliability, audits, and product engineering. I led the quality team in providing leadership for two divisions valued at $600M for the corporation. A secondary effort was a promotion to a new division to recover a $20M dollar project associated with Intel. I assumed leadership in the forefront of four other resources who did not provide technical and business skills to drive this project forward. I reorganized the project, teams, and methods to bring the project back in-line with the milestones and goals. The above efforts in new NPI launches resulted in over 100 new products introduced to the market with LTR well over $350M dollars.
ON, Phoenix, AZ Divisional Strategic Management, Quality, Operations 2004 to 2006
Advantage: Business unit operations in strategic engineering for new product introductions with engagements from design, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer release. The target for the products included consumer, commercial and industrial customers. In addition, was assigned as a key member of several global corporate transition efforts which included technical review board for product launch methods, process control, and supply chain provisions. During this position, was given multiple responsibilities to provide leadership as the company moved through several iterations of revenue growth and engagements of +100M dollars.
Micron, Boise, ID R&D Staff Management, New Technology Launch 2002 to 2004
Advantage: Responsible for leading teams in technology transfer, development, and integration for multiple products leading to successful market launches. This effort included being a key contributor in flag ship technologies for the company which resulted in major investments of equipment, and buildings to support this product line. In addition, I was chartered to bring into the company foundry level operational methods to improve production, cycle-time, and systems reflective of high volume Asia factories. This effort resulted in product launches that drove LTR in excess of over $500M dollars for the company and new market share.
Silterra Malaysia & Singapore R&D Engineering, Director, Startup, Manufacturing 1999 to 2002 (Expat)
Advantage: I led a multi-cultural team in the startup (lived/worked) of a $1.1 Billion dollar factory in the rural jungle setting of Kulim Malaysia. My involvement was leading 3 of the top 4 milestones for the company which included first production yielding material, quality certification of product, and first customer revenue purchase order. All three primary milestones were exceeded under very challenging conditions with a new factory and limited experience of new staff. Assumed the duties of three other management members, and provided leadership during the period when resources were in short supply. In addition, as a member of the startup team, provided my skills in customer engineering, reliability, marketing, assembly, failure analysis, and quality. This effort led to the successful startup of the factory and later multiple awards for exceptional launch in record time.
