PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Pedcor Design Group, LLC, Carmel, IN 2006 - 2008 Director of Construction Administration Managed the construction design field operations of the Corporations 375 million dollar Carmel City Center Project, assuring the Architects intent is carried out on the construction site by the Construction Manager, General Contractor and their Subcontractors. Assist the Principle and Project Architect in answering questions, RFIs and reviewing Submittals. Assist the Principle and Project Architects in the development of specifications and drawings for cost efficiency and constructability. Quality control and constructability review of drawings and specifications prior to release for construction. Assist the Specifications writer in feasibility and coordination with field construction. Acted as the liaison between PEDCOR Design Group, the City of Camels Construction Manager, and CSO Architects for the 120 million dollar Carmel Performing Arts Center (PAC) Project. Organized and managed Crisis Meetings for particularly difficult and timely coordination issues between Architects, Contractors, Fabricators, and Field Personnel.
White Oak Construction Corporation Indianapolis, IN 1998 - 2006 Vice President Restructured company and implemented a Commercial Division. Generated additional commercial business profits by 70% within 18 months. Secured two National Account projects in 10 state area, producing 4 million in construction annually. Developed and negotiated projects with community leaders and clients in a 10 state area. Responsible for all facets of commercial business development, marketing, subcontractor/supplier relations, project cost estimating, and accounting for the commercial division of the company.
Various Commercial General Contractors - Indiana 1992 1998 Director of Operations/Senior Project Manager Managed the daily operation and numerous projects for the company. Managed National Accounts in both retail and restaurant industry. Responsible for bidding, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor negotiations, business development, including establishing short and long-range goals.
Indianapolis City Market, Indianapolis, IN 1989 - 1992 General Manager Supervised building and management personnel for this National Historic Landmark. During my tenure, tenant occupancy increased 12% and pedestrian traffic increased over 155%. Awarded the 1990 Associated Builders and Contractors Award of Excellence for both State and National levels, for Building and Historic Renovation.
STATE OF INDIANA Indianapolis, IN 1983 1989 Deputy Director Operations Division, Department of Administration Coordinated 12 million-dollar architectural/engineer design and renovation of the Historic Indiana State House. Achieved a cost saving of 1.3 million-dollars on State House air conditioning renovation. Interacted extensively with state agency executives, legislatures, outside contractors, and the general public. Managed a support staff of approximately 200 which included custodial, maintenance, and the Indiana Capital Police Department, and provided total property management for the Capital Complex.
