EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
1993 2008Village Homes of Colorado- Denver, Colorado Custom Builder Consultant Responsibilities included meeting with buyers to obtain their wish list for the customization of their home, development of a plan for the construction of their custom options, the bid and buyout process, and the final closing of the sale of those custom changes. Amount of sales ranged from $1,000 to $92,000 in custom options. This position involved face to face communication with the buyer as well as trade partner negotiation to develop the cost, and in turn, the retail price. Director of Purchasing and Field Operations Responsibilities included the re-organization of the purchasing project team, the review and approval of all construction and procurement contracts, the mentoring of the new purchasing team in the area of procedures and negotiation techniques, the identification of the pool of trade partners/suppliers needed for the construction of homes in the front range and mountain area projects, development of scopes of work, as well as the responsibilities listed below under Director of Field Support. Director of Field Operations Responsibilities included assisting in the training of all construction field personnel in the area of scheduling and quality of construction, the inspection of all homes as to the quality of construction, the mentoring of all field construction personnel in negotiation techniques with trade partners and how to deal with customers. My efforts were also instrumental in the development of a new construction schedule that cut 20 days of fluff out of the average build time of a house.
Field Operations Manager Responsibilities included the day to day involvement with my team of superintendents, assistant superintendents, detail, and labor staff of up to 25 people on multiple projects. Quality inspections were a primary focus, as well as scheduling and meeting with our buyers and trade partners. I took great pride in supporting and acknowledging the concerns of my team members.

Conifer, Colorado Owner/Operator Responsibilities included the interviewing and hiring of real estate professionals, the procurement of construction funding, the design and construction of our homes, and involvement with our customers to finalize the sale. I was also responsible for all of the budgeting and accounting for the expenses associated with our business.
