ENERGY EFFICIENCY & DESIGN: Retrofit and new construction building/system design. Heat-cool-enthalpy building energy recovery systems, waste heat utilization, VAV & pump VFD designs, refrigeration head pressure reduction, setback and system reset
schedules. Total building HVAC, solar and envelope design. CAD drawings and Construction Documents.
MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION STAFF MANAGER: Leadership of staff, market strategies, construction job man power overview and assignment, project manager review and direction, construction bid finalization.
ENERGY MODELING & ANALYSIS: Carrier E20-II and Trane Tracer building energy system modeling and economics. Annual bin/ HVAC load and system consumption calculations. Project first construction $ + annual Maintenance $ + energy $ over time = annual cost studies and life cycle considerations.)
HVAC SPECIALIST: Dual duct, reheat, dedicated OSA, multi-zone, single-zone and a multitude of HVAC system knowledge. Trouble shoot system components including heating, boilers, chillers, pumps, refrigeration, control pneumatics, system surge problems, valve hunting, control electronics, hydronic specialties, refrigeration specialties, control ladder diagrams, sequence of operation and related mass and heat transferfind out WHY something does not work or is insufficient.
ENERGY AUDITING: Scrutinize systems and gather necessary mass flow, energy flow, temperatures and pressures. Produce load and consumption profiles. Utilize anemometers, Fluke meters, magnehelic, refrigeration and pressure gages, DDC control point time history log numbers. Report on the findings and then approach design solution paths accordingly.
HVAC COMISSIONING: Building, RTU, AHU, Chiller, steam, boiler, hydronic flow, refrigeration and control system start-up & confirm, VAV & valve modulation/stroke set point confirm, mixed air mass flow and damper confirmation, PID loop and reset control check, system balance report scrutiny and confirmation, total performance system confirmation.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Client communications and simplified explanations, contractor coordination, drafting & data collection man power assignments, major equipment scheduling, bidding processes, project close out. Listening and thinking with clients outside the box..employing their way, not my way whenever feasible.
CAD & DRAFTING: Provide schematic to working Construction Drawings Bid Documents. Field sketches and client illustrations. A measure of CAD proficiency.
ENERGY REBATE DOLLARS: Provide successful building and equipment energy system retrofits to obtain Gas, Light & Power Company energy rebate $ funds for installed working projects. Give these funds to the client.
WELDING, FITTING: piping and construction work.
CODE APPLICATION: , IMC, UMC, IBC, IEEC. ASHRAE Standards Awareness of related Life and Safety Codes, NFPA, Fire Codes.
