Sr. Construction Manager Heery International, Inc.2008 Present Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Worked in a management capacity on Providence Holy Cross $180 million dollar addition. Responsible for coordinating the procurement of medical equipment with hospital staff, coordinated the MEP requirements with contractor, architect and engineers. Developed scope of work, bid, negotiated contracts for all Low Voltage systems, managed procurement of Owner Furnished Items, managed budgets for all said items above, reviewed and tracked all submittals, reviewed all pay applications and change orders. Managed the design completion and design changes with architects and engineers, wrote Division 0 and 1 for the specifications, prepared scope of work for RFPs, wrote Contracts, and worked with clients attorneys for legal compliance to city ordinances, state and federal requirements, responsible for the bid process from advertisement to contract negotiations. Developed Client / Contractor relationships, resolved construction schedule and payment issues, managed new construction to get it back on schedule by getting five structures out of the ground in 5 months. Building Inspector Level III Town of Cary, Cary NC 1998 - 2000 Certified Level III (equivalent to California DSA Level I). Responsible for structural inspections: footings, foundations, framing, insulation, and finishes for compliance. Responsible inspecting in accordance to the North Carolina State Building Code and Accessibility Codes. Required to complete all assigned inspections for a day with no rollovers. Inspections varied from new construction, renovations, additions, and fit-ups to unlimited types of commercial buildings, schools, and residential properties.
