SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR DAYTON SUPERIOR CORPORATION:
Increased revenues. Company was falling behind in technology and losing market share to new imported systems. Analyzed and negotiated Joint Venture and partnering agreements to take back market share, increase rental fleet and restore client confidence. Generated $22M by launching nine new product lines over nine years.
Re-Built industry-leading sales team in only two years. New competition and increase in products and technology required expansion of training capabilities and knowledge base. Created industry training for 1,000+ employees, dealers and clients. Delivered sales force and designers who were the most prepared in the industry.
Reduced costs and increased business. $97M rental fleet inventory had duplicate and incompatible competing products. Analyzed fleet by channels and profitability. Sold off or scrapped discontinued / non-profitable products. Increased rental utilization of fleet by 10% and reduced freight costs by approximately 10% in a shrinking market.
Overcame low-cost foreign competition. Company needed to reduce costs due to increased low cost imported products. Researched and developed vendor relationships with quality and supply guarantees. Achieved $1M+ annual cost reduction, implementing strategic vendor and sourcing initiatives within 12-24 months.

Independent Supply Agent, Sole Proprietorship, 2010 to Present. Arrange and broker deals with numerous construction equipment companies. Focus primarily on finding new or used formwork and shoring equipment. Additionally, perform consulting services for small businesses.
General / Group Product Manager, Dayton Superior Corporation, 2004 to 2010. $350M construction equipment supply firm. Led all product management for all Symons products and Dayton accessories. Responsibilities included, budgeting, marketing, product development, life cycle management, product training, vendors, trade shows, channel management and management o f $882M rental fleet. Managed eight staff and budget of $950K.
Product Manager, Dayton Superior Corporation, 1998 to 2004. Management of all Shoring Systems and market development for European clamp systems. Created marketing plan and led product development / life cycle, product training, vendor sourcing, technical & marketing materials and trade show planning. Promoted to GM.
