Mr. Ed L. Hamm, President, E.L. Hamm and Assoc. Inc. Norfolk, VA 23502
Dear Sir: I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate E.L, Hamm & Assoc, Inc. for the assistance of Mr. Thomas L. Herring. It is evident to all officials at Post that Mr. Herring went above and beyond the call of duty in attempting to resolve serious E.L. Hamm personnel problems and see to quality control for the PAC Project. He appreciated the Post's serious concerns regarding a former E.L. Hamm employee, Mr. Staggs.
Mr. Herring recognized the seriousness of the problem and, worked towards resolving the Post's dilemma. We wish to go on record in congratulating Mr. Herring for his foresight and sensitivity to the operations of the Consulate General. In addition, the J.A. Jones Construction Company as well as Post officials could readily see that Mr. Herring is a true professional. We thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely.

Dear Tom:
On the eve of my departure, I wish to thank you for your professional contribution in our efforts to upgrade the security of this Mission.
Your vast array of construction skills and knowledge contributed immeasurably not only to the well-being of our Mission personnel but was instrumental in getting the Public Access Control (PAC) project off the mark and in concert with the completion timetable set by previous contractual arrangements. Your response to our situation during a sustained period of political intensity demonstrated the same-cool reserve we have witnessed during your many visits to our Post. The confidence with which you have gone about your duties has served to instill confidence in others and through your intervention and interpersonal tact we are on the threshold of witnessing the completion on of a very fine project, the first of its kind we believe in this region to come in on time.
A. Ray Basden Administrative Counselor
Again, your organizational efforts have brought order to a previously discombobulated project. And, if I had to point to the prime contributor to the successful completion of this project, it would be you. Again, many sincere professional (and personal thanks.)

Personal Reference
To Whom It May Concern,
Today, I am sending you this letter on behalf of Tom Herring. I have had the joy and privilege
of working together with Tom Herring, who was the Project Manager for the Collage Companies.
Tom was employed by Collage Companies when they built the first phase of our campus,
and I served as the Owners Representative for Church in the Son because of my previous
business and construction background.
Church in the Son began on Palm Sunday, 1990 and I have been a part of the church since
the beginning and have witnessed the growth of the church to our current membership
of 3,600 active members. I am currently serving as one of the Pastors on staff.
Tom and the Collage Companies did an excellent job of building our first phase of construction,
The project was completed on schedule in a quality manner and on budget.
Tom Herring would be an asset to any construction team because of his character, skills,
experience and abilities to manage people.
