I am seeking a position with your company receiving civil or structural engineering experience. I have completed my bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology at Georgia Southern University and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I graduated with Cum Laude honors and a GPA of 3.6. I am now seeking a career full-time.
I have recently been working with Power Engineers in Norcross, GA. My employment there helped me in obtaining structural engineering experience. I worked diligently under several professional engineers to complete my work on structural analysis and design using the modeling program STAAD Pro and basic hand calculations. I also spent much time analyzing shop drawings from vendors for steel fabrication and dimensioning and verifications using AutoCAD. My first few months there were spent designing concrete foundations for transformers and turbines.
Previously I was employed by the McDonald's corporation for a year and a half. I appreciate the experience I gained with customer satisfaction very much. While many might consider this work demeaning and the experience useless, I humbly accepted this position every break I had from school to help me to financially complete the final two years of my college career.
