Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA) has three TSA Checked Baggage Screening Systems. One in the South Terminal with a matrix of 15 Explosive Detection System (EDS), one in the North Terminal with a matrix of 9 EDS and the International Concourse E with a matrix of 12 EDS Key Achievements: Successfully developed alliances with airlines, TSA and 3rd party service providers to maintain proper and efficient operation of all screening systems. Review of all projects pertaining to conveyor systems in the airport. Review and coordinate design of the new baggage screening system and conveyors for the new Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal (MHJIT). Act as a liaison between airport management, airlines, contractors and 3rd party service providers. Review and monitor the operation of all conveyor systems to identify risk and develop a solution plan.

Position Overview: Charged with oversight of construction representing the owner, City of Atlanta, in the $113 Million, 100% Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) Project. The project consisted in the construction of three TSA Checked Baggage Screening areas in the South Terminal, North Terminal and the International Concourse E. Each area is equipped with fully automated Explosive Detection System (EDS) and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) screening processes. Two facilities had to be built under the existing roadway without interruption of service to the airport.
Key Achievements: Key Person to understand customers business objectives and maintain them during the project. Negotiate, request and engage contractors and 3rd party service providers. Developed influential relationships with airport management and airline management. Assist in the development of means and methods to facilitate construction and certification of the systems.
