Job Title SR Design Eng/Quality Eng (Switch to Nuclear)
Relocation Preferences : Will Relocate
Objective : To have a career in the challenging field of nuclear power. I lean more towards the quality side of engineering.

I have been a mechanical engineer for 15+ years, in other fields, but my first love has always been nuclear. Starting college in the mid 80's, it just wasn't a good career move. My father who has been the VP of section III for over a decade has talked with me about nuclear power and its various aspects my entire life. I have a real passion for the industry but am having a difficult time breaking into the field. I have taken an NQA-1 course with ASME and have been involved with codes and standards. I have taken courses with SPSU that were sponsored by the NRC to familiarize myself with the laws, and the plant itself. I have even taken a QA/QC course that goes into the 18 criteria in greater detail.
