WORK EXPERIENCE:
Hydro Tech Pak. (Pvt) Ltd. (MALAKAND III HYDEL POWER STATION DARGAI
Owned By: Sarhad Hydel Development Organization (SHYDO) Government of N.W.F.P Pakistan): From 15 Feb 2008 till to date.
Recently, I am working as an Assistant Plant Manager (Operation & Maintenance) . It is the First provincial hydel project, which deliver 81 MW active powers to National Grid.
Having realized the uprising requirements in the field of design, engineering, procurement, construction supervision, operation and maintenance of hydropower and other renewable energy projects in Pakistan, the Hydro Tech Pak (Pvt.) Ltd. comprising renowned hydropower professionals, was founded. It is the first ever-private company of its kind, established in Pakistan for production and development of electric power in Pakistan.
Major Responsibilities:
Hand on Practical Experience to start Unit for Commercial Generation under normal and emergency situations. Also to stop Unit under emergency situations such as tripping of Power Transmission Lines, Over-loading of Power Transformers and Units, when Distance and Differential Protection operates, Over-speeding of Units, Vibration exceeding its limit, Over Temperature of Stator Coils, Guide Bearings.
To change the load (MW/MVar) as per requirement of NPCC, System constraints and water availability.
To Pressurize and Depressurize the Governor System for access of maintenance work under permit.
Monitoring, acknowledging and identifying Power Plant, Switchyard and Forebay abnormalities through SCADA at Central Control Room.
Complete command on MMS (Maintenance Management System). Writing Station Log, preparing trouble reports, issuing SP Tag, requesting and issuing PTW through software based MMS.
Energizing the auxiliary system through Power Transformer from Switchyard in case when the Plant Units are Standstill, during emergency shutdown or When the Unit is under Permit for necessary maintenance work. Also to restore the auxiliary Power System during normal running of Units.
Watering of Units through Unit - Unit (draft tube valves), From Penstock Upstream watering valve and Spiral Case downstream watering valve. Dewatering of Unit through its Draft Tube valve using the dewatering pumps at drainage pit.
Watering of Penstock through its bypass valve and dewatering through its Penstock dewatering valve/rolling the Unit on SNL (Speed No Load).
Monitoring Indoor Units:
Main Systems (32MVA Generators & Transformers, Governor System, Excitation System, Vertical Reaction Type Francis Turbines, Draft Tubes and its Gates).
Auxiliary Systems ( Power Line Carrier, LT (415V) & HT (11kV) Switchgear, Brakes Air System, Air Compressor System, Fire Fighting System, Cooling Water System, HVAC System, Drainage & Dewatering System, Battery or UPS System).
Generator Differential Protection Relay (24G).
Monitoring Outdoor Units:
132kV Switchyard Breaker and Half Scheme, Operation of SF6 Breakers, monitoring the Breakers Pressure and report if abnormality or alarm appears.
To look after the Power Transformer Oil and Winding Temperatures.
Forebay, Penstock, Spillway, Sediment Excluder.
Supervision & controlling of whole Power House Through SCADA.
Operating & Monitoring all plant systems and equipments with the standard operating procedures.
Super visioning of maintenance works in Power House.
Making sure that all necessary information flows smoothly across and outside the organization.
Controlling all equipments in Power Plant and Switchyard through SCADA system and manually in order to operate smoothly the Power Plant and 132KV Switchyard.
Managing and recording Trouble Reports ,SP Tags , PTWs(Permit to work ) ,Daily generation sheets and Station Log on MMS (Maintenance and Management system).
Identifying abnormality and Faults,isolating it from healthy system and Rectifying Faults .
Working independently on operation of Power Plant and 132KV Switchyard at 81MW Malakand.-III Hydro power station.
Working & hand on Experience on MMS (Maintenance and Management system).
Identifying and Rectifying Faults.
