My responsibilities included the following:
Perform site visits to evaluate site conditions including access, availability of services and
special requirements.
Perform quality surveys and develop detailed takeoffs to define the materials and labor required to complete the project. This includes reviewing and obtaining information from various drawings and specifications to complete the scope of work.
Work with potential vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information.
Determine execution strategy with the Superintendent including the sequencing of project activities, shift or overtime requirements, equipment needs, constraints at the site and other factors that may influence costs.
Prepare a complete cost summary for the project that includes the cost of labor, materials, equipment,
subcontractors, overhead, taxes, insurance, markup and any other applicable costs.
Prepare bid proposals for review and submission with corporate Vice President.
Develop change orders and track actual costs relative to bid specifications as the project progresses.
Develop and maintain a cost library to improve the accuracy of future pricing.
Provide assistance to our clients marketing resources and sales engineers.
Identify and flag potential design shortcomings in estimates.
Prepare and review rigging plans for setting or removal of equipment using Auto-Cad.

I have a strong mechanical design background & I have worked in the field as a 1st class mechanic, 2nd class plumber / pipe fitter, and a 2nd class electrician.

December 1999 to October 2000:LB&B Inc. - Cad-Operator at Health Care Finance Administration
My responsibilities included the following:
Designed floor plans, created databases, documented site surveys, and tracked space configuration changes through out the complex.
Updated and corrected HCFAs current documentation, and converted their Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical drawings into Aperture.

July 1996 to December 1999: Entek Inc. - Engineering Liaison/ Designer
My responsibilities included the following:
Created details, assemblies, wiring diagrams, schematics and layouts of bus instrumentation, and body structure.
Liaison between the manufacturing floor, design department and key project management personnel.
Located and selected vendor parts, obtained quotes and demonstration of part installation.
Traveled to various manufacture locations in Europe and customer locations in US for on site problem solving.
Coordinated and maintained the design teams schedule.

July 1991 to July 1996: Tate Integrated Systems (TIS) - Mechanical Designer
My responsibilities included the following:
Developed and implemented start-up plan for the drafting/design department, inclusive of selecting software & computers for department.
Interviewed and hired personnel.
Reviewed drawing packages and managed drafting/design department.
Created system wiring diagrams, system over view drawings, cable drawings, sheet metal details, and printed circuit board details (drill dwgs).
Designed, assembled and wired cabinets.
Coordinated and managed all of the shipping in and out of company.
Projects:
The Boston Central Artery Tunnel, Saint Louis Water Company, Duluth Water Company, BG&E Notch Cliff Plant, and BG&E LNG Plant are some companies these systems were designed for. Some of the units / systems produced are: Data Acquisition Units (DAU'S), Process Control Units (PCUS), Distribution Control Units (DCU'S), Remote Terminal Units (RTUS). These were done to level II and III drawing specifications. These packages included different cabinet concepts and configurations, layouts, details, and assembly drawings for various types of electronic cabinets.

March 1989 to July 1991 Consultants and Designers, Inc. - Draftsman/Designer
My responsibilities included the following:
Incorporated change orders
Detailing different kinds of mechanical parts and creating assembly drawings.
Reverse engineering of parts and assemblies. (Air-to-air refueling drogue).
Designed catwalk system. This catwalk system was installed for the National Security Agency (NSA), Fort Meade, Md.
Supervision of other draftsmen.

Aug 1981 - Mar. 1989: AAI Corp.- Engineering Draftsman / Designer
My responsibilities included the following:
Worked on various types of drawings and layouts for government contracts. I worked primarily in the Missile and Robotics Department
Served as a liaison between Research and Development.
Worked on gimbals, antenna mounts, video recorder, and a protective dome. This included assembly, subassembly, and detail drawings.
Worked on miscellaneous simulators and test equipment. Sheet metal, panel drawings, artwork for panel drawings and stenciling of reference designations, name plate, identification plates, cable drawings, wiring harnesses, etc.
Selected components such as connectors, terminal boards, switches, mechanical hardware, etc. as specified in each individual contract.
Detail and assembly drawings. Coordinated manufacturing of parts and installed equipment.
