SELECTED ACHIEVEMENT HIGHLIGHTS

Executive Design and Construction Manager for the design and construction of a major Caribbean resort. Resort development consists of 2,600 acres with build-out value of over $3B. Projects includes hotels, golf courses, marina and residential units as well as ground up construction of full municipal infrastructure. Currently managing active projects valued at $230M
Directed new build, major renovations and reconstruction projects for Fortune 500 hospitality firm. Served as Owners representative responsible for major high profile hospitality projects in London, Dublin, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Hawaii with a total annual constructed value of over $100M per year.
Successfully lead multiple due diligence efforts for acquisition of major hotel chains. Organized and lead teams in multi-national due diligence surveys to assess the technical condition and required capex investment for over 200 hotels involved in major hotel chain acquisitions. Responsibilities included participation in the multidiscipline teams negotiating and closing the legal, technical and commercial acquisition transactions.
Excelled in progressive levels of management. Progressed from construction/design project engineer to project manager to department manager to executive manager. GRUPO ROCO KI, Dominican Republic 2006 - Present

Executive Design and Construction Manager
Senior Executive for programmatic management of design and construction of the Roco Ki Resort, Dominican Republic (Punta Cana Area). Responsibilities for management of the development include:

Directing the preparation and evolution of the overall resort master plans with build out value of $3B
Development of programs and design for projects with interdisciplinary team and Ownership
Management of all design and construction management for active projects with a value of $230M
Supervision of a work force of 100 professionals and technicians and fifteen major contractors.

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, Bethesda, Maryland 1999 - 2006

Senior Director for Major Projects and Acquisitions (2003 2006)
Performed programmatic and project specific management of large complex international projects and acquisitions with substantial financial risk for Marriott International. Responsibilities included:

Set process and procedures for project/program management systems
Supported regionally based project managers and provided project oversight
Performed management of the design and construction of hotel renovation and new build projects totaling $250 million in UK, Ireland and Hawaii
Planed and managed due diligence investigations for hotel chain and major international hotel property acquisitions and prepared follow-on plans for renovations, reconstruction and expansions of properties

Senior Director for Europe and Middle East Design and Construction (1999 2003)
Performed supervision of a department made up of multidiscipline project managers and support staff who were responsible for the monitoring of the design and construction of 3, 4 and 5-star hotels/resorts in Europe, Middle East and Africa for quality control and compliance with brand standards. Consultant Marriott Architecture and Construction (1997-1999)
Performed design and construction management and produced feasibility and due diligence studies for Marriott Hotels, Senior Living Services (SLS) facilities and Vacation Club properties and a Ritz Carlton resort.

Managed design, construction and feasibility studies for large Marriott and Ritz Carlton resorts in: St. Thomas, USVI; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Maui, HI.
Owners Representative responsible for construction management of the award winning Edgehill Senior Living Community, a 500,000 sq. ft., $80 million residential/assisted living facility in Stamford, Connecticut.

Department Manager Parsons Infrastructure and Technology Group (1991-1997)
Managed Consulting and Studies Department with Department of Defense, USEPA and other government and corporate contracts. Department staff included 12 Project Managers, Engineers and Scientists.

Successfully marketed, negotiated and managed task order contracts with federal agencies including the EPA, Navy and Air Force.
Responsible for Departmental P&L and posted consistently high profits for department.
Program manager for design build projects for the US Navy over two years period in multiple locations in Mainland US and Pacific Rim.

MCCRONE, INC., Annapolis, Maryland 1986 1991 Department Manager - Responsible for P&L and technical supervision of teams of engineers and technicians performing civil engineering services for industrial, commercial and health care facilities.
