Managed the construction phase of the project. Reviewed contract documents for clarity and accuracy during the bidding period for corrections and potential addenda items.
Attended pre-bid and construction meetings. Participated in Contractor coordination drawing meetings. Reviewed shop drawings.
Chaired and documented meetings, reviewed work progress schedules, reviewed/approved schedules of values, pay requests and change orders.
Inspected job sites during installation of mechanical/electrical systems to insure conformity with drawings, specifications and codes. Verified Contractors installation met equipment shop drawing requirements for code compliance, maintenance clearances and access.
Directed Contractors corrective actions to assure conformity with contract documents, codes, and change orders. Resolved installation conflicts between construction trades in the field.
Investigated Contractor/Owner RFIs and proposed solutions for field installation problems. Worked with Engineers to issue change order sketches and work descriptions.
Documented daily observations with photographs and field reports. Reported findings to the Owner and Design Team.
Participated in equipment and systems demonstrations for Owner personnel at the time of Owner move-in.
Contracted directly with Construction Manager on some projects to observe and inspect PME work of other Engineers.
