Vice President and Manager of Operations, Estimating and Project Management: Coordinate construction operations for all projects from start through completion. Supervised Safety personnel and safety compliance for all activities and operations. Attend Preconstruction Meetings and Regular Progress meetings with Architect, Owner and Construction Manager. Coordinate construction operations with different Sections that depended on each other for proper installation and operation. Review documents for contractibility. Prepare bid proposals for all phases of budgeting and estimating. Conduct a value analysis on every project bid. Coordinate scheduling and timing of required activities and activities of other contactors to avoid conflicts and to ensure orderly progress of the work. Assign project foreman to each job, promote open and daily communications with project foreman. Analyze operating methods, techniques and practices through the project the duration of the project and the life of the equipment. Provide purchase orders and contracts for subcontractors and vendors. Set production standards for masonry work that is tracked on a daily basis in the field and analyzed weekly. Monitor and manage the financial status of each project including job cost year to date summaries, work in progress reports, change request / change orders and project close-out Perform public relations and communications with clients and suppliers. Project Estimator: As a Project Estimator I decided which projects to bid based upon many criteria such as geographic location, architect and GC/CM. Project analysis of competition and current and projected work load. Procurement and review of all technical documents, contract documents and general project specifications. Solicit suppliers / vendors to provide material pricing and information for project estimates. Review drawings, addendums, memos and other bid documents. Perform computer quantity surveys of masonry walls and work items. Create detailed work scopes, written proposals and qualifications for submission to GCs and for internal review; Establish communications with GCs/CMs. Review all projects prior to submitting bids and compile and develop bids for final bid price Perform post bid negotiations and contract review.
