PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
03/2008 - 06/2010 Director, Campus and Project Planning Department Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), Los Angeles, CA Regional Construction Director supervising 56 personnel in the strategic planning for the repair and modernization of school and administrative facilities for the 2nd largest school district in the Nation: 14,000 buildings, 80 million square feet, 1,000 locations. 06/2006 - 03/2008 Director, Emergency Management and Process Improvement Department Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), Peterson Air Force Base, CO Managed 15 military, civilian and contractor personnel in developing and implementing AFSPC policy for hazardous material response, fire protection, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), Geospatial mapping/visualization and Emergency Management (EM) programs ensured critical programs met all Air Force standards. - Prudently directed the $22M Geospatial program and executed a $7.5M Emergency Management annual budget despite dwindling resources, fully supported 5,750 personnel at 96 locations located worldwide. - Implemented new Emergency Response protocol, increased ability to operate w/ civilian Police & Fire Depts - Advanced AFSPC process improvements, facilitated two workshops utilizing methods of various efficiency programs (incl. 06/2004 - 06/2006 Director, Public Works Division Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan Directed the actions of the Air Forces largest Public Works organization; comprised of 800+ military, US and Japanese civilian engineers/craftsmen.
