Edmonton, Canada Alternative Energy Options and Various Applications Working in an inter-disciplinary team of three students to create an electronic Best Practices Manual (eBPM) for many renewable energy options. Providing information for various applications and determining the most effective options based on cost considerations, client needs, efficiency, location and other various constraints. Researching previous renewable energy applications and studies and analyzing if they will be the best choice in a particular situation.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Chappell Engineering Associates Marlborough, MA May 2009-September 2009 Summer AutoCAD Intern Designed over 50 lease exhibits for new and co-location cell phone tower sites for Nextel, Sprint, Verizon, and Metro PCS in eastern Massachusetts. AutoCAD drawings were created with property information and site logistics from hand drawings by senior engineers at site visits and GIS data. Created construction and zoning plans with detailed part specifications and zoning regulations from approved lease exhibits. Traveled to 20 town halls to retrieve zoning information and property maps to allow Senior Engineers to focus on high priority jobs. Central Rock Gym Worcester, MA January 2008 Present Part Time Taught belay class where costumers learned how to correctly and safely belay and administered belay tests. Worked the front desk where climbers would check in and pay and provided customers with rental gear. Cleaned and organized gym during and after hours to keep the gym in top condition and appealing to customers while also monitoring climbers safety and always keeping customer satisfaction the number one priority.
State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation Concord, NH Summer 2007 Summer 2008 Summer Intern Assistant to Project Administrator Assisted the project administrator in any and all tasks that needed to be completed on a $10M dollar two mile road reconstruction job. Met with 5-10 sub-contractors twice per day and recorded all installations, construction, payable items, and all other events in the construction zone in a daily log. Monitored and inspected all daily work on major drainage installations and road reconstruction phases and reported updates to the contract administrator multiple times per day. Completed all assigned tasks keeping safety as a major consideration and keeping good relations with municipalities.
