Summary
My assignments with Huntsman/Texaco Chemical has been in the area of instrumentation and network communications. I started as an instrument Technician in the C4 plant in Port Neches Texas. I was assigned as an instrument inspector to follow the construction of the Coolwater Coal Gasification plant in Daggett California. The project was 2 years and the last year I was assigned additional duties as electrical, piping and mechanical inspector. The plant started up on time, under budget and exceeded all expectations. I was reassigned to the Port Neches facility as the C4 plant instrument foreman and also supported the communications needs for the Jefferson Co. computer center. My duties as the foreman included managing the every day support and operation of the instrument group and also all major construction projects in the C4 plant. The Huntsman communications needs increased and I was assigned to support the LAN/WAN systems in the U.S. and Canada. I worked with all plants process communication needs as requested by the local engineers. The sell of the petro-chemical division to Flint Hills involved the majority of the plants and my job was eliminated.
