Coordinated with HDR and Black & Veatch engineers to ensure adherence to material and equipment placement per plan and specifications. Mentored college interns, set goals with them and followed up with mid and final reviews upon completion of their internship. Revised submittals against original contract drawings, to ensure that there were no mistakes that would affect installation. Active participant in creating and updating a 6 week schedule. Lead Field Engineer responsible for all layout on four 120 diameter Primary Clarifiers, an Effluent Splitter Structure, a Primary Sludge Pump Station, an Odor control facility and a Digester electrical building. Along with layout I was solely responsible for quality control on these structures. This included Maintaining correct elevations on structures so the plant will run hydraulically. Correct placement of reinforcing steel to withstand forces related to compression and tension in a concrete walls, slabs, columns, pilasters and decks. Oversaw installation of large diameter pipes ranging from 60 Reinforced Concrete Pipes to 42 Ductile iron; sanitary sewer lines, manholes, storm drain inlets, junction boxes and other miscellaneous yard structures. Coordinated, updated and logged As-Built drawings. Created quantity takeoffs (Estimates) for reinforcing steel (rebar), concrete, concrete wall ties and backfill (dirt). Utilized AUTO CAD suite to create lift drawings for layout and coordination. Utilized all contract drawings Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing to have a complete picture of what the engineer intended before proceeding with layout. Active member of the safety program. Critiqued Jobsite Safety Assessments daily and gave feedback to improve identifying work related hazards.

Assisted with a $65M WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) upgrade from 29 to 70 mgd (Million Gallons per Day) in Greenville, SC for a whole academic year. Coordinated with project superintendent and project managers by writing RFIs (Request For Information), updating AS-Built and change orders. Provided layout for civil and mechanical crews in a new Effluent Filter Structure, Ultra Violet Building; Chemical Building, pipes, existing site utilities and other various onsite structures. Utilized lift drawings to communicate and work closely with craftspeople on the job site to ensure quality control as specified in plan specs.
JOBSITE SAFETY Actively involved with safety program to keep employees safe on the jobsite. Entrusted to oversee a different foremens JSA (Job Safety Assessment) every week. Implemented a safety log to identify individuals who engaged in hazardous behaviors, in order to give the safety engineer a way of monitoring employees safety habits.
