Started as Grade Foreman and moved to Job Superintendent, to Paving Superintendent specializing in construction of heavy highways including bridge work pipe laying, concrete and asphalt roadways and surveying. Report to Division Manager and Project Managers.
Successfully work average project size from $2M to $15M in concrete alone while increasing overall profit and production for the department.
Supervision of Concrete Projects--Manage equipment valued between $1 million to $10 million, materials ranging from $ 1 million to $ 10 million, Plants and Equipment at any given time.
Responsible for all aspects of (take off materials, pricing, determining material quantities laborer and equipment)
Contract execution and administration. Set up and MOB (mobilization) of all materials, equipment and subcontractors.
Work with all phases of job site from clearing to final punch list, also worked with sub base materials (CTA Soil Cement). Use and maintenance of GPS and ATS systems. Site prep work, fine grading, string line, etc. Set up of Project paving schedules. Procurement of all materials, equipment and personnel needed to complete each job. Modification of equipment to improve field operations. Daily and weekly tabulations of material field quantities and labor expenses. Supervise a work force of 30 to 50 personnel including, Foreman, Mechanics, Surveyors, and Labor staff. Trained Paving Foremen and Operators in equipment set up, maintenance, building, and operations of equipment and of computers located within equipment.

Concrete Superintendent; Manage crews in all fields of concrete such as, inlets, curb & gutter, concrete paving, and walls.
History Prior to 1989. Worked with various Asphalt Contractors around the Metropolitan area for 11 years. Brigham & Day Paving which is now F.O. Day, and with P.G. Contractors starting as grade Foreman then moving to asphalt Foreman after 3 years.
