J. Tucker Development Partners, Inc. Atlanta, GA. November 2007 Present
As Vice President of Construction I have completed Montage Embry Hills which is a 225 unit high density project including a precast parking deck and community amenities. My preconstruction role is to manage the design and engineering team to accomplish the development goals for the project. I also managed the bidding process of invited general contractors including bid evaluations, comparisons, and final contract award. During the construction phase I have managed the RFI and change order process as well as quality control and final owner acceptance of all units as well as the budget and schedule reporting to the developer, partners, and lenders.

Thomas Enterprises, Inc. Newnan, GA. April 2006 November 2007
As Director of Residential Development my duties included assistance and input for the design team in areas of design, constructability, and cost estimating for five star boutique hotel and condominium resorts. Locations included Atlanta, San Antonio, Orlando, and Grand Cayman. Unfortunately the United States condo glut and an inability to obtain construction financing stalled each of the projects once plans were complete and ready for permitting.

Gables Residential, Atlanta, GA. March 2001-July 2002 and July 2004-April 2006
As Senior Project Manager I managed over $100,000,000 of construction cost including estimating, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, and job site supervision. These six projects included both Gables projects as well as 3rd party client work. My duties also included management of onsite construction staff and subcontractors. Due to a lack of development deals in the pipeline I had to leave Gables for a period of two years. When the project load picked up again I accepted the invitation to return to Gables in the same capacity.


Lane Realty Construction Corporation. Atlanta, GA. July 2002-July 2004
While Vice President of Construction my responsibilities and accomplishments included establishment and implementation of the policies and procedures manual for project management and estimating staff. I was a member of the Lane Company Senior Leadership Team which steered all departments including property management, development, and construction. While at Lane I managed over $110,000,000 in construction including work in the Atlantic Station development in downtown Atlanta. We also implemented the Catalytic Coaching program of management which included team leaders becoming certified in the year long program and learning new ways to motivate, manage, and retain employees. I managed a staff of five Project Managers, three Assistant Project Managers, and two estimators.

Fortune-Johnson, Inc. Atlanta, GA. June 1993-September 2000
While in the role of Project Manager I was in charge of day to day operations of construction projects which included multifamily, office, assisted living, and restaurants totaling over $34,000,000 and 670 units. On these projects I was in charge of subcontractor bidding and buyout, budget, schedule, and estimating.
