Responsible for all operations in regards to planning, designing, estimating costs to build, hiring and overseeing subcontractors in the construction of residential homes. Locate and purchase desired locations for speculative building or work with individuals who want to build on their own property. Pay all invoices for labor and material used in the construction of such homes in a timely manner. Obtain and manage financing for these operations.
Pass & Seymour/Legrand Distribution Industrial Engineer (December 1997 - May 1999)
Responsible for productivity tracking, layouts, capital projects and other warehouse engineering functions. Measured all picking and packing operations and established goals for these employees. This increased productivity by forty percent for this work group. Established daily charting systems for each job and monitor this on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Created corrective action committees to help solve problems in the workplace. Assisted in implementing of a new warehouse management system.
Converse, Inc. Distribution Cost Analyst (June, 1996 - May, 1997)
Responsible for the verification of all invoices compared to the purchase order and requisition. Supervise the accounts payable clerk in the payment of all invoices. Update the manpower planning module each month to predict staffing requirements for each job based on the actual and forecast number of pairs of shoes shipped monthly. Update the expense budget with the actual expenditures each month and correct any discrepancies. Prepare annual budgets for both operating expenses and capital requirements. Research all capital projects and expense contracts when obtaining quotes to ensure that we get the best value in regards to cost, quality, and usability.
Sunrise Apparel, Inc. Industrial Engineer/Sewing Room Manager (October, 1994 - June, 1996)
Responsible for loading production into sewing according to the most efficient and cost effective product flow. Calculated job staffing requirements in order to schedule production. Made quality decisions that determined whether the product should be shipped or repaired. Discussed personnel issues with employees such as the accuracy of pay, quality, absenteeism, tardiness, insurance, etc. as needed. Performed employee reviews as required. Perfect Fit Ind. Plant Engineer (April, 1992 - April, 1993)
Responsible for the maintenance of all incentive rates used in the production of home furnishings such as quilts, comforters, drapes, shams, etc. Re-measured all incentive rates converting from time studied rates to predetermined time using USD. Designed and implemented new layout for the entire plant to improve product flow. Designed quilt patterns using the AutoCAD Program Autosketch. Supervised two payroll clerks and acted as safety coordinator.
Pioneer Manufacturing Plant Engineer (August, 1991 - March, 1992)
Responsible for maintenance of piece rates used in the production of boys suits using time study. Created operation summaries that dictated the production flow and bundle ticket printing for each style of suit. I inspected new machinery for production capabilities before purchasing. I was also responsible for customer billings on a weekly basis.

Responsible for creating and updating job standards for incentive and hourly jobs performed in the cutting, sewing, packaging, and distribution of towels through use of Most and time study. Also, responsible for budgeting based on production, inventory audits, waste audits, job staffing, and costing related to the above work areas.
