Dear Director,
My previous experience as a wholesale plumbing and heating sales person and branch manager has provided me with over 30 years of management experience including operating multiple wholesale branch distributor locations with 25+ people. I was responsible for oversight of sales, customer service, gross profit, inventory, materials handling and personnel management. In most of my career I have been responsible for training, mentoring, and setting leadership examples.
I started in the HVAC trade servicing and installing oil burning equipment. I received my Massachusetts Oil Burner Certificate in 1981, and began to get experience in design, installing, and servicing complete heating systems including system control wiring, hot water, steam, radiant, solar, and infrared. I then worked for a wholesale p&h distributor, selling equipment through consultative selling. This led to management where I was responsible for developing budgets, sales goals, and inventory for two locations with sales in the 9 10 million dollar range. I then worked for an oil company as office and service manager, responsible for office personnel, selling and scheduling work for 9 service technicians.
This led me to Alpha Mechanical Services where I was hired to develop new customers and manage commercial HVAC repair and preventative maintenance projects. Through this position, I have gained experience in the Commercial and Industrial HVAC service, installation, and commissioning. I am familiar with reading blueprints and understand many operating systems. I currently hold a certification for geothermal design and installation. I can work hands on as well as supervise.
I am interested in a supervisory and management position including some hands on practice.
