LIBERTY CABLEVISION OF PUERTO RICO, INC. 2001 to 2002 Technical Operations Manager: Responsible for complete technical and warehousing operations of a digital cable system plant for 18 municipalities with a base of 60,000 customers. Directed and managed 4 customer service and technical offices with 48 technicians and 5 technical supervisors. Negotiation with 3 independent contractors companies for installations and new projects. Knowledge of FCC regulations.
AMI DODUCO (PR), INC. 1993 to 2001 Senior Process Engineer, (2000 to 2001): Key person in the optimization of the Enterprise Resources Planning system project; with direct reporting to corporate optimization team.
ERP/SAP Project Coordinator, (1998 to 1999), assigment to Export, PA, USA: Plant leader and representative at corporate level for new system implementation project. Responsible for the configuration, setup, implementation and administration of the plant ERP system.
Manufacturing Supervisor, (1993 to 1999): Supervised 60 employees in manufacturing operations and technical services support. led 5 departments team leaders including maintenance, quality control, materials, finishing and plating, press room, tool and die room, furnaces, solder flushing, brazing and coining.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT
Reduction of 21% of operations costs by means of contract analysis and renegotiations. Achieved 70% overtime reduction as a result of manpower requirement analysis and both shifts and positions restructuring and refocusing in processes improvements. Increased yields and reduction of line defects by improving raw materials process. Achieved a decrease in blending percentages from 15% to 5%. Implemented a preventive maintenance program to a cable plant in order to minimize signal outages due to failing components and damaged equipment. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Defined, conceptualized, designed, executed and validated several key capital projects among them: aseptic grade facilities systems, manufacturing and laboratory equipment. All projects were executed on schedule, on budget, with outstanding quality and zero (0) accidents. Projects ranged from $100K to $2.5 MM Upgraded site roofing and sprinkler systems per company business continuity plan (BCP) to comply with insurance company standards resulting in savings of 8% of the reinsurance premium. Site roofing was left with zero leaks (0). Implemented energy savings projects resulting in savings from 15% to 50% of electrical power and fuel consumption.
ENGINEERING
Developed and implemented a successful facilities and plant engineering systems readiness plan for national, international and corporate regulatory boards audits.
