My main focuses at my current position are inside sales (heavy contractor clientele) and to act as the inside contact for my locations outside sales rep. My daily responsibilities include heavy phone use as well as heavy computer use. I use most standard software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Sales responsibilities include assembling material lists, pursuing active leads, setting up new credit accounts, material estimates and placing/tracking special orders. I have a light to moderate material purchasing role, for my customers as well as the outside reps customers. I work closely with dispatch to set up deliveries and make sure the customer is satisfied.
2. Somerville Lumber Co. 4/06-11/06 Current title is inside sales rep. While employed at Somerville Lumber Co. my main focus was inside sales. I used multiple computer programs including Excel, Word, Dispatch Delivery System (DDS), Doc Man, and Outlook Express. I completed a training course with Andersen Windows that covered their IQ software and I feel very comfortable with it. I am very well versed in special order paperwork, including creating a P.O. and tracing paperwork through the system, and setting up deliveries and receiving special orders as well as stock items. I am very comfortable with heavy phone use, as well as reaching out to multiple vendors to locate/order specific products. I am very familiar with pricing of products, and figuring out cost/sell on those products that I would need to special order, including lumber products that are priced MBFT (per thousand foot) . 3. Component Technology 4/01-3/06 Current title is fork lift operator. While employed at Component Technologies, I progressed through several jobs. Entering the company at laborer, promoted to lead-man, set up-man, stacker, trained to put floor truss loads together, and to load floor and roof truss loads. My ending job was driving a lift for a high paced computer controlled saw. During my employment I was trained to use multiple tools and have had many different responsibilities. I have experience using a 5,000 lb. lift, 15,500 lb lift, multiple saws, multiple nail guns, pneumatic presses, as well as various hand tools. I have experience in assembly, load construction, inventory and I have had a crew of 4-5 men working for me. I have had Bobcat training and have been well versed in loading/unloading rail cars. I was an apprentice in the maintenance shop for close to three years. During my apprenticeship I performed initial equipment set ups, light to moderate fabrication, assisted in pneumatic tool/cylinder repair as well as hydraulic cylinder repair. I have light experience in forklift repair and trailer maintenance as well. I have a lot of experience with machinery breakdowns as well as day to day routine maintenance and safety checks. I have experience with safety lock outs and safety tagging as well.
