I am writing to see if you could use me at any of your job locations, in the field of Heavy Equipment Operator, or anywhere else that you see my qualifications would suit your company. I have over thirty years experience in the Roofing Industry, twenty-five years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, and ten plus years driving different types of vehicles. In any of these positions I have always been able to diagnose, and repair any of the equipment that I have worked around. I have strong technical and mechanical skills, and I carry a CDL-A license.
Id like the opportunity to tell you more about my work experience and how my skill set could contribute to the successful day-to-day running of your company. As a heavy equipment operator, or a truck driver, its my responsibility to ensure safety of the work environment, and the equipment. My duties are to maintain, inspect, and keep up to date records of inspections and repair logs. I am willing to step in and do anything necessary to complete the task at hand. When my duties have been completed I look for other opportunities at the jobsite that I could help complete.
I am good with fixing, repairing, and using tools. I can take inventory, problem solve, dissect, diagnose, review, and evaluate any situation. I observe, examine, plan ahead, show attention to detail, and follow through. I take responsibility, I am motivated and can deal with problems. I look forward to discussing the position with you.
Sincerely,
Robert Bogues
As a side note, I have no problem being away from my home base of Michigan. I just completed a year job where the company head quarters is in Iowa, but jobsites are all over the United States. I was stationed in Brownsville, Mn., then I went to Clear Lake, Ia. Jobsite, and then I ended up in Springfield South Dakota. The job I held before that required me to be away from home for ten months, that job was in New Orleans, LA. As the head of household, I feel that it is my duty to ensure whatever it takes to provide for my family.

INTERESTS I have been active with the Boy Scouts of America ever since I was a child through my teen years, all the way to Life Scout and Explorer Scout. After my son was born and able to join the scouts, I helped start his troop and recruit boys in the neighborhood, esp. the boys with single parent household. I believe that the Boy Scouts help to shape and develop boys into responsible adults. I feel all the time I have spent with the Scouts have helped me become the kind, caring, and compassionate adult that I am today. This is part of the reason I went to New Orleans to help them rebuild their water and sewer system. While I was in New Orleans I was shot in the left side of my face, in the cheek area, while I was being robbed in the parking lot of where I was living at the time. After the robber left me for dead I crawled to the door of the condo where my friends called 911, I was taken to the hospital. After spending the night in the hospital, I still was on time for my shift in the morning. My supervisor released me from my duties and told me to take some time off to heal. I returned to work for good one week later. This is what I mean when I said dedicated or old fashioned beliefs.
