Distortion and penetration are major factors when fabricating and welding sheet metals from 12 guage to 36 guage. Other related welding skills include T.I.G. and M.I.G. of aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, galvanized steel and brass. Plasma and oxy-acetylene cutting systems are also applied.
-Finishing skills include grinding, sanding and surface polishing techniques. Different grainwork is used according to desired finish.
-Other skills include: Shaping and dollying, arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, brazing, soldering, silver soldering, blueprint reading, drafting designs and prototypes and custom work.
-Also had responsibility fo helpers and departmental management, including coordination of orders and job development.

Skills and Responsibilities:
-Construction of square tubing, pre-fab rooms, work stations, laminar flow units, overhead modules and air showers. -M.I.G. welding of tubular steel which was sleeved for pre-fab construction because of its potential sizes. Some framing of these rooms are as large as 40x40x16, constructed of 3x3 steel tube.
-The other part of these rooms were the laminar flow units, which usually sat on top of these frames. They were flake board cabinets laminated with Formica, Kydex, and stainless steel laminated. Hepa Filters controlled air particles in and out of these environmentally controlled atmospheres. Tools included table and panel saws, routers and sanders, staple guns and other woodworking tools.
-Basic electrical skills were used in wiring lights and blowers. Plexiglas and lexan were also worked with on this job. ________________________________________________________________________
