Flatiron Construction Corp. (FCI) March 2005 - Present Special Assistant Project Manager, Scheduler, Cost and Change Order Manager. Work as special project manager for the $189,000,000 Sprinter Project for FCI. I am responsible for tracking and documentation of the changes as a result of complex and challenging design for the Sprinter Project. Working as the change order project manager responsible for takeoff, estimating, preparation of Request for Proposal and negotiation of numerous changes resulting from ongoing construction and pending design changes.
Double South LLC March 2001- March 2005 Owner I started a private partnership in a real-estate and development company in San Diego. Through this partnership developed number of residential units in the San Diego area mainly in Pacific Beach and Clairemont area. As an owner I was responsible for obtaining financing, hired and supervised architect, contractors and related project vendors. Researched development feasibility in the region. Acquired private financing for new development. Acquired land and hired an architectural company to develop construction plans. Hired subcontractors and oversaw construction. Perused and received City Permits in the difficult California Coastal region. Sold developments for substantial profit.

I was able to gain valuable experience in all aspects of running a startup company. Parsons Brinkerhoff Construction Management March 1994 March 1998 Construction Manager My responsibilities as the CM was primarily two rail station projects. The first was a $ 5.6 million railway station in the city of Corona and La Sierra in San Bernardino County. The scope of work included the construction of two new Metro Rail stations on the exiting and active Santa Fe railroad right-of-way. These two stations were being built on tight schedules due to the impending rail line opening (3 month for each station) with liquidated damages contract of $10,000 per day for delays on each station. These projects were completed under budget and on schedule following my redesign of the site grading plans and numerous other design and construction changes during the course of the project. The second project was a $3.5 million bridge, roadways and underground utilities contract for the City of Chino Hills. The Scope of work included the construction of a new cast in-place, post tensioned concrete bridge over Highway 60 in Chino Hills. This bridge was to be constructed and eventually attached to an existing bridge. The project also included the construction of four new on ramps from Highway 60. Our firm used my previous work for the City of Corona to secure this contract. OBrien-Kreitzberg & Associates (currently Dames & Moore) 1989 1994 Project Manager I managed a $12 million bridge, roadways and miscellaneous airport improvement contract for the construction of the 96th street Bridge over the Sepulveda Boulevard for the City of Los Angeles Department of Airports (DOA). The scope of work included the construction of a four lane bridge over state highway 1 and under LAXs runway flight path. It included constructing ten new parking lots, new roads, widening of the existing state highway and enhancing DOAs underground services. I also managed a $17.5 million foundation and utility contract related to the 21 mile Los Angeles Metro Green Line Rapid Transit System. The scope of this project included the installation of 195; seven feet diameter Cast-in-Drilled-Hole concrete foundations and associated utility relocation for the concrete guide-way structures which followed. This work was accomplished on the heavily concentrated industrial, commercial and residential areas in the 2.75-mile segment of the Metro Line alignment in the City of El-Segundo, Hawthorne and Redondo Beach. Gotham Construction Corporation 1987 1989 Project Manager Managed a $26 million renovation of New York Citys Maxim Hotel (currently the Peninsula Hotel) The scope of this project was the rehabilitation of this 5th Avenue landmarks limestone faade and preservation of the 19th century architecture. The renovation incorporated a complete upgraded of the fire alarm, smoke purge and HVAC system within the existing infrastructure. Comprehensive construction management of the two phases of the project including a $5 million dollar health club designed for the upper floors of the 25-story building.
Olympia & York Construction Corporation 1984 -1987 Assistant Project Manager I worked as an Assistant Project Manager at the World Financial Center, overseeing a $65 million construction of sub-cellar tenant food storage spaces in two buildings leased be Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. These areas were designated mainly as food service storage facilities and staff offices serving the 15,000 Merrill Lynch employees. All construction management projects involved the following responsibilities: Conducting constructability and budgetary review prior to the start of the construction.
