Experience: My career in project Construction Management began in 1976 in the Oil / Chemical Refineries of Southern California. Since that time I have gained incredible experience through complex and practical construction applications and development projects both public and private. I am a third generation heavy Construction Manager. I began my development as a Construction Laborer, and then moved my way up through the ranks from routine Operational Maintenance into a new Construction Layout-Pipe Fitter, Foremen, Superintendent, Project Manager and then onto a position as a Director Senior Construction Manager VP of Construction.

My 30 + years of construction experience, has come from working with various designs, processes, locations, and specific client based requirements. This work has included pre-development through start-up and commissioning of Contaminated Water and Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facilities, Petrol-Chemical Refining, Food Processing, Air-Gas Processing, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Civil, Commercial, High Rise, Hospitality, Industrial, Institutional, Public Works, Residential, and Theme Parks. I have been involved with Offshore Island Developments with unique Site Specific Logistical, Environmental and Safety concerns.

My broad range of project responsibilities has included supervision of personnel, subcontractors, owner vendors, interfacing with various Governmental officials and general public relations, bidding, scheduling of work, submittal review, specification / contract compliance, rfis, quality assurance, budget control, change orders, billings, inspections, code compliance, weekly meetings, and a myriad of complex constructability issues.

Carlsbad Seawater Desalination Project, Carlsbad, California
Development and Pre-Construction support for a $500M, 50MGD Seawater to drinking water conversion project with a 16.5 mile, 54 conveyance piping system with (4) flow control facilities.

Director Construction / Maintenance, Southwest Water Company, Burbank, California, 2005 to 2009
Burbank Operable Unit EPA Superfund Site, Burbank, California
Oversight involvement with this project / well field water collection facility was to help ECO / SWWC transition into a multi-year, multimillion dollar O&M contract at an existing multi process contaminated water treatment plant that cleaned up 13 million gallons of water a day. The filtration process utilized Granular Activated Carbon for the both the Liquid and Vapor phases recovery process.

VP Construction Manager, Southwest Water Company, Los Angeles, California, 2002 to 2005
San Juan Capistrano Desalination Project, San Juan Capistrano, California
Complete oversight involvement with this project involved the Development, Financing, Design and Building of a 5.1 million gallon a day Reverse Osmosis Facility. My role and responsibility was to administrate the Contract with the City of San Juan Capistrano, oversee the daily Design and Construction of (8) water wells and their respective buildings, 5 miles of associated transport pipelines, and a new water treatment plant with its primary process equipment using sand filters for pretreatment and for the removal of Iron and Manganese and Reverse Osmosis. This construction took place over 2 years and finished on time and under budget with over 70,000 safe man-hours. This project received the Project of the Year Award for the Southern California chapter of the American Public Works Association.

Construction Manager, Pepper Construction Company, Irvine, California, 1999 to 2002
USC Wrigley Marine Science Center, Catalina Island, California
This project consisted of civil infrastructure and foundation construction for staff housing. As a core team member on this project I was responsible for helping with the estimating and bidding, subcontractor selections, scheduling, interface with the owner design team, manpower staffing, along with critical material and equipment coordination with various marine service vendors, to then living on the island as the onsite Construction Manager.

Disneys California Adventure, Anaheim, California
This project involved 7 various use buildings, civil infrastructure and area development. The buildings were type II and type V construction with occupancies including theaters and restaurants. All of these buildings were heavily themed. The area development consisted of a 6 million gallon themed reservoir and filtration plant, themed hardscape and landscape. This construction took place over 19 months, on a mixed use prime site of more than 90 acres with significant owner requirements, constraints, multiple general contractor coordination, limited staging, and utilizing both union and non- union personnel. My focus of responsibility was interfacing with the Disney design team with an emphasis on MEP and Civil design, safety representation, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, QA / QC, final inspections for certificate of occupancy, to punch list completion. Our team received the first Certificate of Occupancy for the entire DCA project.

The Plantation, Industry, California
This project involved Concrete Tilt up construction and site development of 6 buildings on a 70-acre site. The buildings were sized from 32,000 to 320,000 square feet. I took over this project for another individual and had over fifteen sub-contractors performing various scopes of work simultaneously from civil infrastructure, concrete panel construction to panelized roofing and painting.

MC & C Commerce Center, Santa Fe Springs, California
This project involved Concrete Tilt up construction and site development of 9 buildings on two specific sites. This project was developed on an existing oil field with existing railroad spurs along with operational oil wells and oil well abandonments.

I was the Onsite Mobil Oil Construction Manager for the development of Multi-use Gas Station / Retail Fast Food Developments. My job was to oversee the physical construction as well as to track the cost changes and work with the design team for the completion of the project.
