Work History and Responsibilities: 1988-1994 Union Mason of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Local 1 of Philadelphia is where I served my apprenticeship. I learned about brick, stone, block, tile, grout, marble, and sandstone. While working and learning with the union, I also entered Delaware Community College, where I spent two years, studying Construction Technology & Design. At Delaware Community College I learned how to interpret and design blueprints and drafting. I also studied State and Government policy and procedure in dealing with inspection, codes, OSHA, contracts, bookkeeping, finance, as well as other trades. 1994-1998 Sill & Son Construction of Chichester, Pennsylvania: I held many responsibilities, construction included foundation work, sidewalks, stone walls, pads, footer, and wood decks. Laying out included,footer, sidewalk, walls, and decks. I also had to communicate with homeowners and clients.
1998-2002 American Systems of Media, Pennsylvania: At American Systems I was responsible for installing phone, cable, fiberoptic wires and cables. 2002-2006 Chris Courtney Contractor of Downingtown, Pennsylvania: When I was employed by Chris Courtney Contractor, I was responsible for independently managing large crews and daily projects. I would run the entire site from start to finish, from framing to all of the trim carpentry. Also this included drywall, and flooring, such as hardwood, tile, and carpeting. I was also responsible for communicating with the buyers, planners, surveyors, subcontractors and the of course the homeowner/client. I was responsible for making sure that all projects ran on time and within budget. 2006-2009 Self Employed: When I was self employed, I utilized all of my skills and knowledge where I performed all phases of remodeling, repair, and renovation to provide services as a independent subcontractor. In addition, I was the independent maintenance technician supervisor for a sixty-two unit apartment complex.
