Professional Achievements & Experience
Developed and managed facility materials purchasing programs totaling $7 million for the Central Florida YMCA which resulted in 10% cost savings for the Association. All Central Florida YMCA development projects were successfully completed at or below established budgets and turned over to the Owner on or before their scheduled completion dates; saving the Association lost operating revenue. Responsible for program and construction management of various multi-million dollar projects, ranging to $150 million. Conduct pre-bid conferences and project meetings, award and negotiate contracts, establish and oversee projects budgets and schedules, establish manpower requirements consistent with budgets and schedules, ensure the work product complies with contract requirements and documents, manage general and specialty contractors day to day and on-site, oversee project completion, and contract close out. Responsibilities include project management and oversight of design and construction of heavily themed buildings, hotels, restaurants, retail stores, schools, conventional buildings, and other facilities, while protecting the brand integrity of the product. Civil and environmental engineering design projects include contract negotiations, design calculations, production of contract drawings and technical specifications, establishment of project budgets and schedules, and the procurement of permits required by governing authorities. Proficient in managing the expectations of clients, consultants, contractors, governing agencies, and vendors. Responsible for monthly presentations to upper management, volunteer groups, and internal project groups regarding project status including budgets, schedules, manpower projections, and current and potential issues and challenges. Responsible for marketing efforts including oral, written, and electronic presentations to clients, prospective clients, and government authorities.
