Shepherd the City of Fort Lauderdale?s Design Review Committee (DRC) process by meeting with various disciplines and Departments to obtain necessary approvals prior to presenting the project to the City's Board of Commissioners for consent. Collaborate with the environmental engineer in the development of specialized systems to be implemented both during construction and used in perpetuity due to environmental concerns found on site. Each of these systems required approvals from local and state environmental protection agencies prior to submitting application for the building permit. Supervise the Designers efforts and General Contractor's input to comply with the approved DRC package, applicable codes, and State of Florida Affordable Housing Funding requirements to produce a permit set of documents. Submit and expedite plans through the City's strenuous permitting procedure. Manage the preconstruction process of the General Contractor, evaluate pricing and direct revisions to maintain project budget, review project schedule to ensure compliance with funding deadlines.
