In reference to my experience of Work Scope in coming out of the ground with regards to QA/QC. My scopes of work has been entailing of the subcontracting of all dirt and concrete/pile-caps/columns - work to bring site out of the ground and Building/Foundation, and Concrete Foundation/Footer Work; Elevated Beams and other type Labor intensive Construction.

Based off of the drawings and specifications, once the pilings are driven, I would begin excavation; cut the piles to grade and form the pile caps, AKA footers set to grade, form the slab, set anchor bolts from the pilings on up.

Conformity would be to elevations and dimensions shown on plan within a tolerance of plus or minus 0.10 foot, and extending a sufficient distance from footings and foundations to permit placing and removal of concrete form-work, installation of services, other construction, and for inspection. In excavating for footings and foundations, care is taken to not disturb bottom of excavation; while excavating by hand to final grade just before concrete reinforcement is placed. From there, would be to trim bottoms to required lines and grades to leave solid base to receive concrete.

Insuring compliance with minimum standards of material and workmanship in order to insure the performance of the facility according to the design. These minimum standards are contained in the specifications. For the purpose of insuring compliance, random samples and statistical methods are commonly used as the basis for accepting or rejecting work completed and batches of materials. Rejection of a batch is based on non-conformance or violation of the relevant design specifications.

For the balance of the contracted type work specifications, i.e. beams to walls, walls to overheads and ceilings and structural builds from many of the jobs performed or managed by me in reference to quality, it is the same -- conformity and compliance to the scope of work, specifications and requirements of the materials, plans and the scope of work itself being performed to compliance.
