Provide construction, remodel and repair support the Olive Garden Denver Division overseeing approx. 45 restaurants in a 6 state area.
Major Duties and Accomplishments
Source, hire and train contractor network to perform construction, remodeling and repair services at the restaurants.
Manager a capital improvement budget of 2mm per year.
Develop scope of work, specifications and inspection procedures for all remodel projects and handle bid and award of contract process.
Inspect existing structures for size, construction and repair deficiencies, problematic areas. In addition, inspect all construction work performed by various contractors from painting, roofing to pavement, plumbing HVAC, etc.

Position: Director of Construction Operations/Roofing Division Manager

Provide leadership and direction to the Roofing Construction Operations Division within the company to include Commercial construction, re-roof and major repair operations with monthly billings in excess of $2.4 million, having total P&L accountability and responsibility. Left company due to merger and new partners moving away from self performing work.
Major Duties and Accomplishments
Lead and direct a team of over 90 employees including Managers, Construction Managers, Project Superintendents and crew personnel.
Interface and lead relationships with account customers and achieving objectives of providing outstanding products and services to our customers.
Lead manpower and project status meetings, aligning team with schedules and goals.
Drive efficiencies around project completion, value engineering and maximizing job profitability. Provide training and coaching to entire team around project management, quality, customer service and profit/loss.

Position: Director of Facilities Management

Providing overall establishment and management of Facilities and Capital Improvement programs for 105 Buca di Beppo and Vinny T restaurants located throughout the nation. Directly responsible for leading the Facilities Dept. to provide support for Operations customers and preservation of assets. Left due to company relocation to Minneapolis.
Major Duties and accomplishments:
Developing and implementing all Facilities related systems to build Facilities Department within the organization.
Overall monitoring management of R & M budget of $15 million and Capital Budget of $3 million.
Establishing "best practices" for organization around asset allocation and utilization.
Conducting asset inspections to build "needs based" budget and plan for capital reserves for upcoming years.
Direct and develop support staff, providing coaching, leadership and direction for Facilities team.
Presenting programs and business updates to Executives and other functional department heads.
Implementing computerized work order and asset management system for organization to efficiently manage facilities work flow and achieve maximum value on asset life cycles.

Major duties and accomplishments:
Through team of RFMs execute capital spending and R & M plan for over $21 Million annually.
Established and implemented a "needs based" plan for the market, gaining commitment from operating partners.
Presenting business, programs, etc. to COO and Territory VPs at regular business reviews.
Implement asset-planning processes to prioritize and plan all capital/expense allocations.
Team with Operations to strategically accomplish company goals and objectives of both the Facilities Dept and Operations.

Sr. Director for Storage USA, a leading Real Estate Investment Trust (Later purchased by GE Capital) overseeing maintenance, renovation, capital improvements, and safety programs for 580+ , self storage, commercial and retail properties nationwide, encompassing over 38,000,000 sq.ft. under roof. Left to start business with Partner.
Major duties and accomplishments:
Developed and lead Maintenance/Capital Improvement program and Department from inception, orchestrating growth of department team consisting of 3 Divisional Facilities Managers, 3 Regional Maintenance Engineers, 2 AutoCAD Operators, 1 Facilities Coordinator and 1 Administrative Assistant. Developed and implemented departmental processes and standard operating procedures.
Provided leadership, coaching, technical assistance and training to Divisional Facilities Managers, Regional Maintenance Engineers to perform functions and accomplish objectives more effectively in the operation of day to day business and to reach both departmental and each individuals goals and objectives.
Provided management of major maintenance/capital improvement budget of $22 million dollars annually and G and A budget of $750K
Led cross functional teams within the company to develop and implement company wide Safety and Workers Compensation program covering over 1800 employees (also served as the companies Safety Director), Facilities CMMS system, streamlined Facilities AP processes and Remodel/Construction standards.
