Represent a national retailer in the acquisition and development of new locations and expansions in Georgia and South Carolina. Represent a prominent REIT in the acquisition and disposition of office buildings throughout the United States. Represent landlords and tenants in the leasing of industrial, retail, and office space. HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA (AHA), ATLANTA, GA Acting Director, HOPE VI/URD, Community and Supportive Services, December 1995 - May 1996 Managed a $7.8 million grant awarded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the implementation of community and supportive services programs at Centennial Place (formerly Techwood Homes). Worked with the General Counsel in preparing service contracts, subgrantee agreements and lease agreements for a wide range of services and programs including job training and placement, education, childcare, and elder care. Supervised thirty (30) employees and worked under the direction of the Executive Director of AHA and the Deputy Executive Director for Resident Initiatives.
Drug Elimination Program Coordinator, May 1995 - December 1995 Managed a $7.2 million grant awarded by HUD for the development of anti-drug and crime strategies for approximately twenty-five (25) AHA communities. Prepared program-related reports and correspondence for HUD, AHA Board of Commissioners, internal staff, and service providers detailing the status of the various grant-funded programs.
