Frederick-Winchester Service Authority, Winchester, VA Parkins Mills WWTP ENR Upgrade Performed engineering construction management duties at a $44mm waste water treatment plant enhanced nutrient removal upgrade with a 30 month schedule. Examined all cost proposals and saved the owner over $50,000. Assisted in phase one start up to assure contract and specification compliance to meet schedule. Generated a deficiency list of over 100 items. Advised owner of superfluous contract requirements, with a savings of over $20,000.
Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority, Greenville, SC Mauldin Rd. WWTP Estimated entire job on this new $27mm waste water treatment plant. Tendered 8 subcontractor packages. Awarded the work and implemented subcontractor contracts. Bought out over $2mm of mechanical piping and equipment. Assisted project management team in job start up.
West Valley Demonstration Project, West Valley, NY Operations and Support Services Managed over $1mm of start up projects for Westinghouse on this existing uranium enrichment plant being converted to spent fuel vitrification. Tripled monthly billing from $80,000 to $240,000 due to insight in productivity, crew allotment, and the addition of work through foresight and client relations. Managed 20 craft and 8 staff to implement construction packages and maintain quality control. Managed 3 staff for electrical and I & E work; personnel assisted Westinghouse directly.
Exeter Energy, Sterling, CT Civil & Mechanical Management Onsite from groundbreaking through start up, commissioning and operations of this 26 MW $100mm tire to energy non-utility generator power plant. Advised DEP on wetlands, endangered species and historical structures impact. Interfaced with local officials on construction impact on streets. Held discussions at town meetings with citizens over plant operations. Assisted in design, tendering, awarding and supervision of over $250,000 worth of capital projects. Reported to CTDEP CAA, CWA, RCRA, & NPDES permit compliance. Performed CEM maintenance. Developed an off-site $100,000 350 gpm water supply system for plant. Developed remediation arrangements for stormwater runoff. Inspected contractors work during construction for civil and mechanical design compliance.
Millbury Resource Recovery Project, Millbury, MA Mechanical Construction Site Office Engineering Quantified, qualified and purchased over $500,000 of all on site material required for the mechanical contract of this 45 MW power plant trash to energy project. Tendered mechanical work for offsite fabrication resulting in cost savings of over $20,000. Assisted supervision with budgets, estimates and schedules brought project in on time. Inspected over $3mm of pipe, hanger, and equipment installation for specification adherence. Handled over 100 field clarification requests to corroborate with engineering.
Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Perry, OH Field Engineering/supervision Totally responsible for the supervision of over 150 craft personnel and 40 staff during the $70mm mechanical construction contract of a 1200 MW nuclear power plant ensuring quality control, production and safety. Coordinated with clients power plant operators in start up to bring plant on line.
