QUALIFICATIONS: I have had the pleasure of working on and in a wide variety of areas in my working career. I have worked primarily as a JOURNEYMAN PIPEFITTER, in the construction trades. Also as MAINTENANCE MECHANIC and as GENERAL REPAIRMEN in heavy manufacturing... I have worked as a supervisors replacement on a self directed work force made up of mechanical and electrical crafts. As the assistant chief of a paid/ volunteer fire department with a staffing level of 45, working with personnel issues, staffing and budgeting issues, emergency priorities, making decisions and adjusting to changing conditions is an every day task.
EMPLOYMENT: PIPEFITTER/MACHINE REPAIRER OWENS CORNING NEWARK, OH3/2000-5/2009 I was employed by Owens Corning in Newark Ohio. I was employed as a Machine Repairer. Though I work out of the pipe shop within the maintenance department. Owens Corning works as a multi-craft unit, but with specified skills. My primary duties were those of the pipe fitter skill set journeymen.
MECHANIC UTILITY TRUCK EQUIPMENT INC COL.OH 11/1998-4/2000 My duties were repairing and maintaining truck mounted aerial equipment. This included the trouble shooting, repair or replacement of defective hydraulic components and mechanical devices that operate the equipment. This also included 230 volt, 3 phase controls and motor drives, ladder logic, 110-volt control and drive components. Both systems powered by on board generators.
GENERAL REPAIRER KAISER ALUMINUM HEATH, OH 9/1986-10/2000 Fourteen years as a GENERAL REPAIRER for KAISER ALUMINUM, a local Aluminum melting and extruding facility. In my position within the maintenance force, I was a TEAM LEADER for my shift of six other craftsmen. My duties included but were not limited to assigning work, tracking the progress so as to have a smooth transition of work from shift to shift, if necessary. My duties were such that I was responsible for the maintenance forces on shift and any other resources deemed necessary for the continued production, safety and plant utilities. We were a SELF -DIRECTED, TEAM BASED facility. I was also tasked with co-coordinating out side contractors who may work into my shift or work the whole shift in order to work around production demands. My work history at Kaiser Aluminum had progressed from a hiring in position of PIPEFITTER / HYDRAULIC SPECIALIST to that of GENERAL REPAIRER.
EDUCATION: NEWARK SR. HIGH NEWARK, OHDIPLOMA Various trades school concerning new applications, practices and technologies. I have also made use of continuing education on my own.
WORK EXPERIENCE: My experience includes all areas of HYDRAULIC and PNEUMATIC control and works application i.e.; drives, valves, pumps, motors, and drives and gearboxes. Package boilers, Air handlers, Air compressor repair and rebuild. All types of crane repair, equipment installation and guarding. Building repairs, including but not limited to plant water system, natural gas, process gases, and door repairs/installation. Fabrication of new machine platforms, guards, or rework of existing systems. Testing, repair of plant fire protection. Including but not limited to Post indicator valves, riser check valves, alarm heads, and sprinkler heads. Assuring that the systems responded with in insurance and state guidelines as specified. HALON 1301 fire suppression systems. I have held both state of OHIO and NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION pressure vessel-welding certificates for twelve different welding classifications. Experienced in MIG, TIG and stick welding all positions carbon and stainless steel. I have dealt with PLC systems; both trouble shooting and flow generation of ladder logic .I currently teach the PIPEFITTER portion of a MULTI CRAFT APPRENTICESHIP for C-TEC of Licking County. SAP for PDM, REQUSITIONS, TIME CONTROL.
