New work included: Installation of new chiller and retro fit of existing chilled and hot water HVAC system, replacement of all plumbing fixtures, disinfection of all potable water lines, installation of a new laundry, installation of a new fire sprinkler system, upgrade of all electrical outlets and fixtures, new floor finishes, paint, ceilings and lodging lock system.

Estimated and performed Project Management duties for construction of four new buildings division 02000 through 16000 and the installation, cleaning and commissioning of all aerospace ground support equipment for Space Launch Complex 37, Cape Canaveral Air Station, FL in support of The Boeing Companies Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (Delta IV) program for our nations assured access to space. Work included installation of cryogenic fuel and oxidizer systems, inert gas stainless steel piping/tubing systems, construction of mission support buildings, installation of HVAC systems ranging from 3 of static pressure to 70 of static pressure, manufacture and installation of structural retracting and translating platforms, and programmable logic control systems for both the HVAC system and the mobile service tower platforms.

Design/Build Fast Track POL Pipeline and Fuel Systems Upgrade
Estimated, and managed a contract to install a nine mile double contained POL Pipeline and perform Fuel Systems Upgrades that included construction of two 2000 barrel steel JP-8 tanks, one in ground the other aboveground, a Truck fill stand that included a new pump shelter with control room and an aircraft fill stand that also included a pump shelter with control room. The pipeline was in ground with double contained piping and had an integrated leak detection system. The installation was performed with no interruption of base operations during installation of this pipeline, which bisected one active commercial airport runway and one military airport runway.

FAB 59, 10,000 SF of Class 1 Cleanroom Construction
Estimated, negotiated and managed the construction of a 10,000 sq. ft. Class One Wafer Semi-conductor Facility. This project included erection of partitions, installation of the laboratory air (500,000 CFM HEPA filtered air), chilled and hot water piping, chiller and cooling tower installations, plumbing, utility piping, high purity process piping, scrubbers with acid and solvent exhaust systems, and owner furnished semi-conductor tooling installation. This project required crews to work very closely with the construction team due to the constant real time changes and modifications being implemented by the owner (Harris Semiconductor) and the Design Engineers (Jacobs Serrine). During this project we incorporated 184 contract modifications to its contract while maintaining critical milestones on the schedule.

Space Launch Complex-17 Chiller Plant Replacement
Estimated, and managed the construction from ground up a chiller plant for Space Launch Complex 17A & 17B. Construction consisted of a new poured in-place concrete foundation and erection of a pre-stressed concrete building, installation of 3 new air cooled chillers, pumps, cross country chilled water piping, refrigeration piping, condensers, ductwork and controls to service new air handling units on each launch tower that provides air conditioning to the launch pad payload containment clean rooms for both pads 17 A & 17B. Was additionally responsible for subcontract management and coordinating activities with other contractors operating concurrently on-site and launch operations. All operations were conducted with no-interference or launch constraints.

Launch Complex 36 Block-house Chiller & AHU Modification
Estimated and managed a project to upgrade the HVAC at Space Launch Complex 36. This involved the removal of all existing equipment without operational interference to the site. New work included installation of a new air cooled chiller, four new air handling units, interconnecting cross country chilled water piping, new electrical circuits and a new PLC air conditioning control system.

Project: Emergency Rail Replacement
Complex 40, Cape Canaveral Air Station
Estimated and served as onsite supervision for rapid response to demolish the existing Mobile Service Tower Rail System from the parked position to the rollup locked position when the Mobile Service Tower is mated to the Umbilical Tower. Each rail was approximately 600 ft. long. Our crew along with subcontractors cut the existing concrete rail foundations into 22 pieces, each weighing roughly 100 tons. These were removed, transported, off loaded, and stored at Complex 37. We then built the new foundations utilizing a Symons Form system. The new rail system consisted of approximately 600,000 lbs of formed and tied rebar, 3,000 yards of special mix concrete, integral formed electrical cable trays, drainage systems, and a built-in electrical vault. After the form systems were removed, the foundation system was backfilled and the pad surface was restored with new asphalt. This contract was performed in 42 calendar days, and the construction team was paid a $90,000.00 incentive bonus for early completion.

Support of Titan IV at Complex 41
Martin Marietta, Cape Canaveral Air Station
Estimated and managed the installation of all ground support equipment in the lower AGE on Launch Pad 41 that included the fuels, oxidizer, and inert gas service panels that provided commodity services to the Centaur Upper Stage rocket that rides a top the Titan IV launch vehicle. The systems were installed on the mobile service tower, the umbilical tower and the mobile launch platform. Additionally we built and installed a two-stage pressure reducing station for the environmental control system that provided cooled Gaseous Nitrogen to the launch vehicle to precluded hydrogen gas build up during critical launch phases. These systems operated at 70 inches of static pressure and delivered the Gaseous Nitrogen to the launch vehicle through 20 double walled aluminum ducts. The project was manned by 100 workers and was coordinated with efforts of multiple trades and contractors on-site. All work was performed within time constraints required to meet the Titan IV vehicle launch schedules.

NASA, Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA & John F Kennedy Space Center, FL Relocate Orbiter Access Platforms VAFB to KSC
Served as Project Manager for project to disassemble the US Air Force Orbiter (Space Shuttle) access platforms located in the Orbiter Check Out Facility Building V-19, a hanger located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in South Central California. The platforms and all on board mechanical/electrical systems were disassembled and packaged for sea voyage, into nine manageable pieces the largest weigh approximately 120 tons. They were placed on bogies (wheel assemblies) and transported to an ocean dock and placed on a barge for oceanic transport to Kennedy Space Center. This required careful coordination with regard to removal of structural, mechanica1 and electrical systems as they had to be reassembled at the Kennedy Space Center. Once the orbiter access platforms arrived at KSC they were reassembled relative to their X,Y and Z axis positions that were recorded in California so that they could be place back into service and used to process the new orbiter Endeavor that replaced the orbiter Challenger.
