Garland Brothers Inc. 10/2003-12/2008 Assistant General Manager
Responsible for construction project estimating, field design modifications and implementation. Perform project costs analysis to track profitability, and develop cost and invoicing methods for change orders. Prepare monthly estimates, using A.I.A. formats, to be sent to Owner and to company accounting department. North Carolina licensed highway construction qualifier. Performed payroll management of applicants paper work and time sheets. Developed spreadsheets to constantly evaluate actual project cost, from field reports, with estimated project cost in conjunction with preparing monthly pay request and tracked these comparisons throughout the duration of the projects. Also, developed spreadsheets to originate, track, and manage actual change order cost for invoicing. These spreadsheets used information from daily field reports listing labor, equipment, and materials. This daily information was then summarized for the month and appropriate unit charges applied to determine monthly invoicing of change orders. The last multi-million dollar site development project in which I was charged with invoicing originated over 400 change orders that had to be maintained and tracked throughout the duration of the project.
