As a Party Chief, I handle and maintain coordination of crew duties. Training of crew personnel, payroll time sheets, and ordering survey supplies. Scheduling personnel, stakeout coordination, and required computations.
Expedites the preparation and completion of each job with problem solving skills, professionalism, and proficiency.
The responsibility of job file (jacket) creation, filing and maintenance (quality control). Transferring the appropriate forms, along with written, electronic, or verbal explanations.
Communicated with clients to acquire information and provide professional support to the Engineering Staff as well as the needed answers to the client.
Operating and assuming responsibility of the surveying software, Ranger,and HP-48 data collectors, with SMI, TDS and RAMMS software, and TopCon, and Sokkia transits.
Data transfer of required information, in the correct format. Using write and draw codes, with the collector, and key codes in the PC.
Handles with efficiency, Construction stakeout, both commercial and residential, with utility, building, curb and gutter, asbuilt and location surveys and storm water management stakeout. Boundary surveys and property determinations, with Surveyor consultations and in the field. Topographic surveys of large and small tracts, waterfront lots, and ALTAs.
Record keeping on a daily basis.

As a Party Chief, handled coordination of crews. Training of instrument men and rod men. Operating survey software, HP-48 data collection, with the TDS and RAMMS software, TopCon and Ziess transits.
Duties included construction stakeout, commercial and residential. I also filled in slow periods by operating heavy equipment, and helping the other tradesmen. They would regularly be my Rodman, cooperation is the best way to get a job done

Hired as instrument man, three days later, I acquired Party chief position until I was laid off with the recession of 1990.
No longer in business.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills. Currently learning AutoCADD, Softdesk, (computer drawing programs) for use with theTDS-Ranger and TDS-48 data collectors. I use computer applications regularly, with word processors, E-mail, Faxes, and personal communications.
I have many abilities, which have proven useful in past employment. Among them is an excellent mechanical ability (general and specific use of tools and equipment).
I have good communication skills, along with an excellant aptitude to learn. Which have proven valuable when a problem arises.
I have operated heavy construction equipment, and been involved in many aspects of heavy construction. Aquiring a better understanding of what the clients (contractors) are requesting and what they require. I have an excellent understanding of blue prints, from reading to creating. The past 8 months I have been part of the Engineering Dept., at my present employer, and have had a good taste of how construction drawings are created.
