Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) December 2006 to October 2008 Moses Lake Plant 3.0 Expansion, Moses Lake, Washington ($700M) Assistant Project Controls Manager at their Moses Lake Expansion plant where I reviewed and analyzed the Construction Managers Project CPM, generated monthly construction reports and worked with REC Plant Operations to develop a resource loaded logically connected commissioning schedule. I assisted the Turnover Manager tracking progress of system turnovers. Primavera P5 and MS Office Suite were my daily tools. oI performed schedule analysis including critical path logic traces to discover sources of decreases to total float, Claim Digger report analysis, progress trending reports. oI worked with plant operations to create a CPM network process logic driven and resource loaded commissioning schedule that was critical in allocating plant operators for commissioning activities.
Washington Group International April 1976 to November 2006 Project List Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Scheduling Manager, Lead Scheduler, Project Engineer on various project locations where I was responsible for creating, maintaining and revising the project schedule network for large industrial. Automotive plant retooling projects were in the area of $300MM) oAs a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in automobile plants, I administered the Construction Effectiveness/Construction Administration program with scheduling and planning for plant maintenance and repair projects. I help define scopes of work with customers, arranged for material procurement, established schedules, issued work packages to floor supervisors, established budgetary man-hours and monitored progress to schedule and budget at General Motors Parma Metal Fabrication and Oklahoma City Assembly plant. Primavera P3 and P5 was used.
oI was the Scheduling Manager over four Scheduling Engineers for retooling of General Motors Arlington Assembly plant Body Shop and associated General Assembly and Paint Shop modifications. Production demands modified scope to build an entirely new 750,000 SF Body Shop from green field to a new manufacturing building, offices, and new tooling installation. Primavera P3 was used for a 10,000 activity schedule.
oAs the Lead Scheduling Engineer on the GMX380 Program and 180 Press Addition projects, I maintained the Owners Project Schedule for plant retooling and developed project sequence and timing to construct new addition to an existing press plant. The plant required the existing scrap system running until tie-in and commissioning of the new system. Microsoft Project was used.
oI administered subcontracts as a Project Engineer on fixed price and construction management projects. I performed and/or supervised bid package creation, assembled bid lists, issued bid packages, issued addenda, managed bidder questions and responses, conducted pre-bid, pre-award and award meetings, participated in kickoff meetings. During construction, I tracked contractor progress, coordinated progress payment verification, change requests and closeout. DIS Time Machine and Primavera P3 was used.
