To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently in search of a Construction Project Management position within your company and I have enclosed my resume for your consideration. I have a very diverse background in the construction field and construction management. I have held positions in construction and accounting and have worked myself up from a laborer to a General Managers position. I believe that with my managerial background and hands on experiences that I would be a great asset to any company. My background is mainly in civil construction where I managed and installed total turnkey site packages. This includes, but is not limited to, the erosion control, clearing and grubbing, site grading, paving and public/private utilities installation. I have an extensive amount of knowledge in water, sanitary sewer, pump stations, and communications installations. The projects I have been involved in were both municipal as well as private, and I have worked for owners and acted as the owners agent. While working on these projects, I prided myself in finding and working out field and design issues prior to them becoming a time delay or a more costly issue. This helped the funding agent as well as the company I represented. As stated above, my knowledge for utility work is not limited to the normal water, storm drainage and sanitary sewer installation, but also in the installation of communication facilities and power lines. This includes main line feeds both aerial and through ducts (both directional bore and concrete encased). Not only have I been exposed to civil construction, I was the Superintendent and Project Manager on an elementary School and well as assigned to finishing several other high schools while working with Sealand Contactors. This, along with working on bridges in New York State prior to relocating to the Carolinas, allowed me to learn more about structural construction and the finish detail work on building projects. I would like to thank you for your time and for your consideration. I am willing to answer any questions that you might have in regards to my background. You may reach me by cell 704-363-4854 or e-mail tedrharmon[at]yahoo.com.
Sincerely,
Ted Harmon
