In this position I was in charge of the log construction of multiple simultaneous projects. There were as many as ten projects and fifty employees at one time. Responsibilities included blueprint and design review, project estimating, materials purchasing, production scheduling, quality control, customer/contractor consulting, delivery scheduling, follow up with customers and contractors through project completion.
KEY projects and accomplishments Development of log settling allowance and control standards, which are used industry-wide. Supervised as many as fifty projects in one year. Supervised many large projects (mainly residential), the largest being a private family lodge of 14,270 sq. ft., not including the basement area. Seventy-five percent of all projects under hours and completed on or ahead of schedule. Garnered safety awards (no lost time by employees for the previous four years).
